BLOOM Boutique Hotel & Lounge Basel

We really liked our stay here. The location was safe and convenient. We were given passes and an explanation of how to use these for travel on the Trams and discounts for museums, tours, etc. The breakfast buffet was extensive. Fresh fruits, cheeses, and bakery goods to die for. Hot eggs and bacon were served too. And I forgot to mention the great cereals, juices, yogurt and many more too numerous to mention. The staff was excellant and helpful. Many restaurants within near walking distance. We were glad they provided a fan in our room. We would stay here again next trip to Basel.

It was very hot during our stay and they did not have air conditioning. But as we found out this is normal for this area. A little explanation of how to raise the moterized blind and open the veranda door would have helped as all the explanations in the room were in German. The room was a bit small, but not a problem. (Having lots of luggage from a cruise and long vacation) They did offer us to store the luggage elsewhere, but it was not necessary.

I booked a stay at the same day due to some problems in another hotel. The staff was taking care of me from the very first minute of a stay. The service was beyond expectations. The room was clean and looked exactly the same like in the picture. The bed was big and comfortable. The room was also full of amenities like: kettle, coffee, tea, fridge, cosmetics. There was no problem with leaving baggage at the hotel before check-in and after check-out. The staff was always there to help you. The location of the hotel is very comfortable, close to many tram stations and within walking distance from the city centre.

There is nothing that I didn't like.

A stylish Hotel right across Congress Center / Messe Basel. Multiple public transportation stops are nearby as well as a wide variety of restaurants, other facilities and shops. While the single Person-room was next to the stairs / near the elevator, it was pretty quiet.

The shower did not have a separation / barriere between the shower-area and toilet. Combined with the slow drain led to the water flowing over into the toilet-area while showering and especially while getting out of the shower, soaking the bathmat.

Every detail in the room to a point of the handwritten note was just the cutest. The rooms have the comfiest and warmest beds. The shower gel smells super nice. The shower head was very relaxing. The nespresso machine was something I thought I didn’t need but it was handy to make coffee in the morning. The area was very convenient with tram stops in front. Also this is across the art basel area. The receptionists Jana and Nina was very sweet and helpful. They gave me my Basel card early on through email so I can get through around the city easily. Would definitely come and stay here again!

The property was very centrally located, only a few steps away from the public transportation system. The receptionist and staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. When I arrived they took the time to show me some of the main attractions and how to reach them with public transportation. truly the great staff made the stay from an 8 to a 10!The breakfast was very fresh with a lot of variety. It was well stocked and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were a good size with everything one could need. I really liked having a fridge in the room and they provided a fan to keep the room cool. It was also a great location as the tram was a 30 second walk away. The public transportation was free with the Basel card that was given at the hotel and it took about 6 mins to get into the center and 8 to get to the main train station.

I only stayed one night, but I like that the hotel offers proper single rooms. The size of the room was perfect for a single person, with a very comfortable bed and a small terrace. The design and the finishes in the room were modern and high quality. I always appreciate a kettle in the room, especially when I'm leaving early and cannot try the breakfast option. The position next to the fair and to several tram lines, as well as at walking distance from the Rhein, make it a suitable option for several different types of travellers. I only interacted with the staff at check-in and check-out, but they were extremely kind and professional.

My room was on the street side, so I guess that, depending on what happens in the fair and on the days, it can get somewhat loud. That said, I did sleep with the window open and had no problems sleeping.

The room was very nice, great view. Size wize the room was small but compact with everything you might need for a short stay. The location is great, super easy to reach by public transport. (Dont forget to request the BaselCard in order to travel for free around the city, and have discounts in museums and other attractions. ) All the staff was super kind and helpful during all times.

Nothing, everything was excellent in this hotel.

Nice, very clean hotel. Friendly staff. After the check out, they offered coffee before the trip. Excellent bed linen and towels. Conveniently located in relation to the center and the railway station. Calm, quiet area. There are enough places to eat nearby.

It was very hot in the hotel and the room. The safe was blocked on arrival and the coffee machine didn't work at all. The hotel is somewhat official, not romantic.

Good place to stay in Basel. All needed in a walk distance, including COOP supermarket. The room has a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, and a safe. So all packed, everything is fine. The stuff is exceptional, always there to help.

The breakfast, for me, is not worth the money. I'd better buy something in a supermarket, or have breakfast in a place somewhere else. The room can seem small, but it was OK for me.
