Hotel Restaurant Resslirytti

The staff were the nicest and most accommodating. Our breakfast was very nice. We had cereal, juice, yogurts, cheese, cold cuts, the best pastries and coffee. We loved the convenient location. We were able to get a Covid test, for free, across the street. The hotel printed out our results for us via email. Restaurants and groceries were nearby, plus we had a excellent Italian dinner in their hotel. They don't have a ice machine but the staff was happy to get us a large glass of ice or two from the restaurant. The showers were of good pressure and HOT! There was 3 of us. Two single beds and one sofa sleeper. The sofa sleeper was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. All the beds were comfortable. The transportation in Basel is A-number one! They are running all the time with little or no waiting. The buses and trams were right outside our hotel and free, compliments of the hotel. We even went to the Tingley museum for half price compliments of the hotel. All cities should use Basel as a model for transportation, then we would need less cars. It's not the Hyatt but it was clean and comfortable. The price was competitive compared to most hotels in Basel. I would recommend it for sure.

The hotel is conveniently located just across the bridge from the Munster and very easy to access either on foot or by tram. What we liked was that it had a great continental breakfast included with everything you could need and an italian restaurant so we didn't need to go out again after arriving in the evening. We had a very nice meal there. The room was small and functional with comfortable beds and a TV.

We found the base of the shower a bit slippery but otherwise no issue.

The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was good in the bathroom. We loved the location - very handy to the tram and a 3 minute walk down to the Rhine river where we enjoyed paddling and watching the locals swim. The attached restaurant was good and it was nice being able to sit outside to eat our dinner on a warm evening. We could use the downstairs coffee machine whenever we wanted to. The breakfast was good and very well set out.

The room was quite small so there wasn't a lot of space between the beds.

Cozy hotel in a very nice location. No frills, but everything was spotless clean and nothing was missing. The breakfast was completely OK and environmentally conscious (good). The personnel was friendly and multilingual. When you are in Basel, you get from the hotel the "Basel Card" with free local transportation. Tram 2 takes you to the center in less than 10 minutes every 8 minutes. Very good value for money

Fantastic location, super friendly staff, comfortable beds, very clean! Also, willing to help with directions and suggestions for sights to see. The breakfast they serve has a good selection and is fresh. The restaurant downstairs is superb. Great food, atmosphere and decor. We were in Basel for 2 nights and decided we couldn’t get a better meal elsewhere. The SALADS!! So good!

I can’t think of one thing I’ve didn’t like.

The hotel is very central and close to the congress centre. Excellent public transport to basically everywhere. The single room was small but adequate. Breakfast was good buffet style with great coffee options. Would definitely stay again.

There is really nothing to dislike. There is a lift but for people with heavy luggage, there are still a few steps to tackle. Not suitable for wheelchairs.

It is a very good location, maybe 15 minutes walk from the train station and very central to many bars and the river so moving around on foot was always comfortable. Breakfast was good too.

My room was single bed, though comfortable with all amenities, it was a tad smaller than expected. I am a petite person so had no problems fitting in the bed, but perhaps a taller and bigger person may find it less comfortable.

The room was clean, comfortable and suited us well for an overnight stay. The location of the hotel allowed easy walking to the key cultural and downtown areas. Breakfast was relaxed and certainly adequate with helpful staff in attendance. The staff at the hotel went out of their way to help, always with a smile.

The hotel has a quirky layout that leads to some stairs to be negotiated. Our stay was part of a long trip so this was noticeable with heavy bags. Like all restaurants in Basel the hotel restaurant is not cheap but we ate in town so did not use it.

Excellent breakfast

Bit noisy if you have room overlooking the street so unable to keep window open at night but there are fans in the rooms. We wanted to eat in Restaurant on Saturday evening but was fully booked. Might be good idea to advise Guests they need to book for Restaurant. No other reasonable good restaurants nearby so we had to make do with their take away pizza, which was very nice .

Excellent location. Great staff. I came last year and I returned because I enjoyed it so much. Simple and ideal for a solo traveller. Nice big room.

All okay for me. I would say the wifi for me was the biggest issue as I am in Basel to work. However - breakfast could be slightly more developed + ceilings were low + wifi was not great.
