Eastin Taipei Hotel

Hotel is on the 14th floor, we stayed in the two bedroom queen beds room on the 13th floor. Room is great, beds were great and because the room is located along an "L" shaped - literally no one walks by the room so it's super quiet. The location is fantastic as it is located in Da'an district. From the airport you would take the express shuttle and then walk your way to the MRT blue line to zhongxiao fujing station and follow signs for Exit 4. While the Sogo Exit will work, instead just proceed into the underground (miki plaza) mall until you see a set of escalators on your left, head up, look for Mcdonalds and head in that direction. The hotel is about two blocks away on the same side. There is another exit that is right in front of the hotel but lacks an escalator. Cost of the trip from airport to hotel: $5 USD airport train shuttle plus $1USD for the MRT. Ubers are generally very safe and cheap locally, but it costs about $50 to get to the airport. There are 7-11s/family marts everywhere, but there is one conveniently located in that underground mall. If you don't like taking the MRT, the bus is super frequent and both stops are closeby. I forgot to mention that the hotel is about two store fronts away from the Dinghao mall..mainly small shops selling clothes. But the jewel is in the basement where a great no frills restaurant that will fill your taste buds with delectable savory delights such as fried dumplings, egg scallion pancake, hot and sour soup and other items. But the best part? four of us had dinner and it ran us about 300 NTD or 10 USD. I also have to mention the McDonalds sells fried apple pies (like how they used to make them in America) and are so delicious. For clothes shopping there is a very large multi-story uniqlo near by. If you prefer the brandname items - then the Sogo dept store is your choice.

Although the individual bedrooms were great, they did not have any dressers. So you have to live out of your suitcase. Taipei is super safe but I thought this is something travelers should be aware of: the hotel is on the 13th and 14th floors but the 24x7 attendants are only on the 14th floor. A keycard is needed to go beyond the 13th floor foyer, but otherwise there is no attendant. The hotel does not have an on-site restaurant. But there are plenty of selections for food nearby (upscale at sogos, or no frills like i mentioned above).

Location is good. Near to the metro. Room size was decent enough for single traveller. Shared toilet size is big and individual shower was decent big as well. They provide Dyson hair dryer , and l'occitane shampoo and shower bath. The water pressure is good. Single room for female has an additional security door . Feel very safe and secure. Free laundry usage.

Nothing to complain about

The location was close enough proximity to the food vendors on the streets and in the subway. Staff were very helpful and went out of the way to provide solutions for customers traveling to other cities in Taiwan who were not familiar with the transportation network outside of Taipei. Language barriers was not an issue, since staff were competent in Mandarin, English, Japanese, Cantonese.

The map of the surrounding restaurants could have more clearly marked the subway stops and lines to get to their locations.

The hotel is strategically located beside a underground mall entrance (11) that's linked to 2 metro stations, which makes travelling to other places a lot easier. If you do not want to travel too far, there's lot of food, shops, and Sogo nearby for you to explore. The hotel check in and check out is swift. The front desk staffs are equipped with multiple language to assist us. There's laundry room avaliable with washer and dryer. The family room comes with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 toilet, and 1 bathroom. There's a bathtub in the bathroom for us to soak our tiredness from all the walking that we did too.

This place was conveniently located near the metro and thus was easy to find. It was also helpful to have many convenience stores nearby. The room was small but absolutely cosy. Shared bathroom was not an issue as there were not many people staying on that one night.

The bathrooms do take a while to drain off water. Noise insulation can be slightly better but probably it was just a very loud snorer

It was a place suitable for solo-traveler and budgeted one. First time for me to book a single room without windows in the room. At first, I was hesitated if the room would be safe. During the staying experience, emergency floor plans are in visible places, and it wasn't that bad to stay in a room without windows. (No sunshine to wake me up) The hotel is located in the popular part of Taipei (East area), close to everything. Even MRT is just downstairs. What I like the most is the bathroom and showers. Super clean and quite safe even those are shared ones.

Excellent location, ten minutes walk from Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station, a major interchange. Two minute walk to supermarkets, fast food, cafes, and a small park. Very clean rooms and shared bathroom. Quiet room (internal, no window by my choice), with good air-conditioning which was also quiet. Small gym room available, and washing machine for laundry. Comfortable bed, small but good sized room, with a small refrigerator. Towel and bathroom supplies provided. Free coffee available from a machine in a shared living area, which also had two computers and a printer. Responsive, helpful, informative staff at reception. I was very satisfied with my three day stay.

There are many different kind of restaurants and roadside stalls around, as well as local specialty breakfast shops. The transportation is very convenient, with three exits near the subway station. Although it is not a new hotel, the hotel rooms are clean and tidy. The room we got even had a view of Taipei 101. I would recommend it to my friends and will come back again for sure.

The room was spacious, breakfast was yummy and amenities were great. Love the warm toilet seats. Bonus Taipei 101 view from our room.

There was no one to help with luggages. We arrived, tired, at 9pm and was asked to choose our breakfasts for all the mornings upon check-in and also for our ART results. It was a little overwhelming. The toilet and bathroom was separate, which we knew when we booked the room.. but this was inconvenient, esp with children.

Price. Location. Single room is a good option for solo travel. Shared bathroom is limited to several rooms only and it is clean.

Staff experience was abit of a let down compared to last time. One of the double rooms have some unpleasant smell. Reported to front desk and they settled it with a deep cleaning. Single room got cigarette smell. I did not report because just too lazy to do it.
