Aonang Villa Resort - SHA Extra Plus

We went to Ao Nang to celebrate my parents' 50th Anniversary after considering many options, but we couldn't have picked a better place that suited almost every member of our family, from 12-82. There's nothing fancy about the place but it has a quiet charm about it. There's so much to love about the place: clean and spacious rooms, its location which is right on the beach and the bustling strip that has tourists walking up and down, and the bar which was our go to place for watching the sunset with cocktails in hand. But this is no place for a romantic getaway. There are quieter and nicer places for that. If you're looking for a good place to go with the family, with easy access to the beach and the market then this is the place to stay at.

For a good hotel in a tourist destination the front desk staff hardly spoke any English. This made it very difficult to communicate with them.

The hotel is beautiful and our room was amazing with a lovely big balcony overlooking the garden. We arrived extremely early for check in and were able to get in to our room early after a little wait. Our room was cleaned with new towels provided which was appreciated. The room comes with a hairdryer, dressing gowns, a beach bag to use and other facilities, we loved these extra touches. There are 2 pools and we loved using these, the view from the main pool is absolutely stunning too. The hotel location could not be better for the Ao Nang area, as you are on the beach front and close to all the shops, bars and restaurants. We felt that it was great value for money and we would definitely recommend this.

The shower was awful, it was weak and constantly changed between boiling hot and freezing cold. We only stayed for 2 nights though so it was bearable. That is our only complaint, everything else was wonderful!

the rooms are a little dated and although at first glance look clean in closet inspection they could do with updating their cleaning regime. the bathroom for instance had a yellow rust like stain in the toilet and a layer of dust and dirt around the sink and vanity area , the shower head and bath also had soap scum and dirt . the main bedroom dusty .

Location is nice because of easy access to the beach, massages, shops etc. Resort has 3 stunning pools, pools themselves in pristine condition always.

Probably because of covid and being over 2 years without clients and things still being quiet, the pool bars were not working and the pool loungers and things were not as well kept as usual. Across Thailand many resorts and business have closed down due to the pandemic and what was once a beautiful, buzzing and thriving area, is now looking and feeling rather sad. I'm sure that in time things will pick up again

Hotel was at the far end of the so in a quiet location despite the entrance being on the main road where all the shops and restaurants are. There are several tables for breakfast where you are directly overlooking the sea and long tail boats.

Perfectly located, 20 meters from the beach and passing across a relatively quiet street. From there or from the reception, you can go wherever you want in the city center. There’s a 7/11 store right next to the resort entrance. We used the pool near the beach. The sunbeds were good and the parasol was ok (a little defaut on the tissu). The area was clean, some leaves floating in the pool, but it was after the rain, so it's normal. The beach is beautiful, but the sea was a little murky with some strong waves. The sunset is spectacular and the monkeys near the left side of the beach are real fun to watch. The room and the bathroom were big enough. There was a fare space to put in our luggage. The big plus was the view from our balcony, the balcony itself with 2 chairs, coffee table and a rack for the wet swimsuits :) Check out was fast.

The check in is at 16:00. There's a deposit fee of 2000BTH. But overall, we've had a great stay in Aonang Villa Resort and we'd come back.

My goodness what an amazing place! This is exactly what I want from a "resort" - large sprawling property, directly connecting with the beach, couple of swimming pools, delicious breakfast, and literally everything within walking distance (7-eleven, currency exchanges, shops, restaurants, you name it etc.). It's located right at the beach, hence the resort is surrounded by the market. They also have some in-house facilities such as massage, spa, library, and tailor (I didn't try them though)

Pools close at 7pm, the bathrooms are somewhat outdated, the 'Game Room' is completely dilapidated (it contains a pool table and tabletennis), and the service is hit or miss (one night we asked for a knife and we got it, the next night we asked for it again and they said they didn't have it).

Everything! Location is absolutely perfect. Slightly off the main road for a bit of peace and quiet. But also just a 30 seconds walk to get to the thick of it. Also very close to the monkey Forest path to get to the kayaks that will allow you to reach Riley beach. Room is really comfortable and clean. The pools are awesome and well maintained. The bar restaurant is tasteful and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet has a lot of choices. Staff is very nice and helpful. And finally the spa is amazing!

Superb location beachfront on Ao Nang Beach, and an oasis of quietness 100 yards from the main road where there is an amazing choice of shops, bars and restaurants. One morning we were on a longtail boat heading for Poda Island less than 7 minutes after leaving the breakfast restaurant. But it was the magnificent, friendly, hospitable and helpful staff that ensured we had the most wonderful stay. Special mention for the excellent front desk team, bell staff, housekeeping, f&b team, hotel masseuse, and the spectacular nightly fire show performers.

Just need faster WiFi and a few more sun loungers, otherwise a perfect stay.

Really enjoyed our stay in Aonang Villa Resort. Staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious and we had a balcony with a view of the pool and beach. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit and pastries and savory dishes like pad thai! The hotel has 2 pools that are very clean and we really enjoyed them. The location was excellent right on Aonang beach but still quiet and away from the hustle and bustle on the main street.

Only issue was the shower temperature was either too hot or too cold.
