Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort

The location is bang on, 5 mins walk to Ao Nang beach Next door Mc Donalds, 7eleven for daily needs, Bangkok Bank for money exchange/ATM On the touristy road to Ao Nang beach, lots of restaurants and night life - very lively Breakfast spread was good and had vegetarian dishes too 2 Swimming pools - one near reception and other on 6th floor We took the sea view room - great view :-) Also we had mentioned it is my birthday, the staff was sweet to put birthday decorations on the bed at arrival, gave us complimentary mango-sticky rice

The property is 10 years old and in need of repair, rooms are small and lived in The AC remote wasn't present in room, the staff provided to us next day. The service was slow probably due to the footfall, so check-in took long and at checkout the luggage guy dint turn up to collect bags The bathroom door was weird to me - it had wind slots so all bathroom noise comes outside and all outside noise goes in.. I spoke to the receptionist about it and they said it's traditional Thai door. The shower wasn't clean so we got that repaired.

great place, great location! Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the happy hour cocktails by the infinity pool overlooking the beach views and limestone cliff.

The 127 stairs to our room was a challenge but rewarding too!!

We loved it here! The views from this hotel are even better in person, truly stunning to see the cliffs and water at sunset! Staff were very helpful, including helping us to book a day trip to nearby islands. Rooms were clean, quiet and very comfortable - would highly recommend!

We asked the front desk and were told we couldn't book a taxi back to the airport through the hotel. It was very easy to find plenty of places in Ao Nang to book a taxi through, so this was not an issue, but it'd be a bit more convenient if we could work this out through the hotel itself!

Great breakfast, pools are both very nice, beautiful views from the top floor and the infinity pool. Staff is professional, helpful and very nice. After a couple of mornings they remembered I can’t drink milk and they offered to bring soy milk without having to ask for it. Very central location, comfortable beds. And great cocktails- they also have happy hours in the afternoon! We ended up booking three more days here because we didn’t want to leave yet.

we booked a “cliff view, garden view” room thinking the view from the balcony would be breathtaking however upon arrival we felt the view was considerably different from that of the pictures. the first room we was given didn’t have a Cliff view at all and the second one had a McDonald’s sign. if we would have known this before arrival we would have either gone elsewhere altogether or paid the extra for a sea view room. The pictures need to be more honest to represent the lower level rooms.

We loved our room view, the infinity pool, the shower and the clean room. I would have given the hotel a review of wonderful if it was closer to a better beach. The beach was fine, but full of boats. The better beaches were a drive or boat ride away. That's not to say that you can get to an amazing beach, Railay, in just a 15 minute boat ride. You could easily spend the day there. Ao Nang was a fun town, but make sure your room is not on the main street (ours was not). It would certainly be loud.

The staff was good and took care of all of our needs, but they were just not as friendly as we'd experienced at other hotels in our Thailand city visits. However, they certainly took care of anything we asked, just not overly friendly, which we'd experienced elsewhere.

It’s just off the Main Street with a McDonald’s just next to the entrance and many convenience shops and pharmacies around. There are two swimming pools on the property. The view from the pool on the 6th floor has a nice view of the cliffs and the sea. Rooms are huge and very suitable for families but very noisy as there’s no sound proofing and you could always hear what was going on out in the corridor.

Strong water pressure and weak drainage system in the shower caused it to flood the shower area. Not sure if it’s a structural issue as we informed the hotel via the app but it seems the situation wasn’t solved. Could tell that they did some upgrading works but not sure if further works are planned as some parts of the hotel felt a little worn and dated.

As it was our wedding anniversary, the hotel put flowers on our bed and special chocolates. After we had booked, I received an e-mail offering an upgrade for £12 per night. Wow our room was AMAZING. With the most beautiful seaview from the balcony and a small bath on the balcony. We were on the 6th floor very near to the wonderful infinity pool. The staff were excellent, helping the other guests who seemed to moan non-stop!

The infinity pool was freezing cold! As it rained most of the time, there were very few places in hotel with inside covered areas to enjoy a drink and breakfast was a little breezy!! We enjoyed the breakfast, but it was more about fruit/yoghurt, pastries and Thai food.

the property location was nice as it’s close to a lot of shopping, restaurants, and beach. the breakfast and pool were nice and the AC worked well

there is no sound proofing in the rooms. for the price we paid for a sea side view I don’t really think you can say we had it and when you looked at the horizon you saw the ocean but right outside our window was the parking lot and all the traffic and noises both in and outside of the hotel could be heard. also made a request for more hangers and never got them our entire stay. small thing but worth mentioning.
