Wake Up Aonang Hotel- SHA EXTRA PLUS

The hotel is very centrally located but still quiet. It is also very close to the boat service that takes you to Railay beach and the islands. The room is clean, the bed comfortable. Trash is taken out daily.

There is not reception, you checkin to the hotel next door, so it gives you the feeling that it is desserted. The halways are underlit which makes them a little scary at night.

this place was very lovely. a shared room for only four girls, a very comfortable bed, nice private shower only for four of us, an amazing giant locker where even my 90 litres backpack could fit and a very convenient location

employees were very nice but also very slow and they wanted to change me more than 2000 bath for a night (I suppose a mistake?) instead of around 500 bath which I was supposed to pay. for some to me mystical reason I paid few cents more anyway than my booking page was showing but whatever (but those 2000+ instead of 500 was a funny surprise so I recommend everyone to check what are you charged). also the electricity plug near my bed wasn’t really working, but when I supported the charger with a pillow it was charging..)))) at least I have a funny memory now)))

unfortunately there were no check in staff at reception a little confusing when after a long journey we had to go to different hotel to check in on arrival the young lady was absolutely fantastic could not have asked for better she Evan showed us back to are room. very polite and professional.

The hotel is newly built, so all the facilities are freshly new. The local restaurant next to the hotel, named Thai Rice offers good food with reasonable price comparing to others within the nearby area The room was tidied and cleaned, new towels, 2 bottles of free drink water were provided everyday. For those who wants to travel from Krabi Airport to AoNang beach, please consider taking the shuttle bus with 150baht. Those are the 16-seaters bus, which you can easily find it at the left hand-side of the airport arrival gate. The driver will drop you at your provided address; For travelling back to Krabi airport, you can find within the area any service desk or travel information booth for airport transfer, the price is also 150baht.

The breakfast with 300baht (paid at door) was quite poor. It's not worth that 300baht The hotel should have considered upgrading our actual room to higher level room when there's lots of vacant rooms during our stay.

I stayed in the resort behind wake up HOTEL. It is connected to wake up. They have the same reception. And share the same breakfast area, too. Very clean room with balcony and overwhelming views on a mountain and ocean. Extremely beautiful. Monkeys playing around. Several pools. Close to the centre and idylic beaches. Breakfast choices. My room was on a hill. A driver with a golf car can bring you there. And pick you up. Very friendly staff. Speaks English very well. They were taking care of me when I had a very painfull inflammation and cried at reception. I think it is the best place in town! It felt like a paradise !

At the swimming pool they have a menu. But most of the items are not available. Nobody of the swimming pool staff speaks English. In the clinic close by I was treated for my leg inflammation. And was infected with a mrsa bacterie which was discovered when I returned home.

The hostel was very well located, close to the beach, bars, restaurants and shops. The room was big enough and we had a toilet and a bathroom and even a fridge that was filled with free water everyday. The reception in the building is empty, so Check In had to be done at the reception in the hotel next door, which also allowed us to use the facilities of the hotel that included two pools and a gym

Only downside was the mattress, it was rather hard.

I stayed in the hostel and it was one of the nicest I’ve been in. There were little mugs with free coffee for each bed. The staff replaced your towel with a fresh one every day. The building had a washing machine and dryer for your clothes which is rare. The location was perfect, only 5 mins from the beach but also very quiet.

Only downside was that they turn the aircon off from 11am - 5pm which wasn’t mentioned when I booked it. It was okay because it forced me out the room but just wish I’d known beforehand.

Honestly the best hostel I have ever stayed at! (4 bed female dorm room) 1. Curtains for bunk beds went all the way round the bed for extra privacy 2. There was a kettle, fridge, tea & coffee & a hair dryer in the room 3. Toilet and shower were separate from each other yet still inside the room 4. You could use the hotel facilities such as the swimming pool (which was always empty so very private!), the pool table, lounge area 5. Staff were so so friendly 6. Perfect location. Just off Ao Nang beach, surrounded by restaurants/bars/shops/markets/bike rental/tour rental. Highly recommend. You won’t even feel like you’re in a hostel !! Great value for money too, would definitely come back!

The mattress is rock solid. But for the price, you can’t really complain! Just a fore warning if you have a bad back already :)

It was more like a hotel. It was really fancy - the best hostel facilities I've experienced, and I've stayed in a lot of hostels. It had an amazing shower, there was a hairdryer, free hot refreshments (I didn't drink any) air conditioning, a fridge to keep my water cold, and privacy when sleeping due to curtains. A phone to contact reception from my room. Lockers. Hand soap and shower. A communal balcony to look at the view. The beach is just a short walk away. And a 7-11 store is opposite the hostel. Food spots are just on that same road. The hotel staff were all really lovely, friendly, and kind. They were so helpful. 1. I checked in late, after 11pm, without a booking and they helped me with it. 2. The next day I locked myself out by accident and they walked with me to my room and let me in with no charge. 3. They let me extend my stay to one more night that very day. 3. I overslept on my last night and was late to checkout, and they were very kind about it though I still felt bad for the inconvenience. It was also very quiet. I shared with another traveller on the first night and on the second night I had the room to myself which is a rarity as a backpacker. I only saw one other person staying in another room at the hostel. This has been an awesome little stay in Ao Nang. This is my first time in Thailand and also Asia and every Thai person has been so kind. Thank you for having me in your beautiful country :)

My roommate was messy so I didn't have a clean room and bathroom. I cleaned it up myself after he left. This wasn't the hotel's fault though! I never saw anyone at the hostel's reception. It was closed whenever I was there. I had to walk a bit to the hotel resort to check in/out and when I needed help, though it wasn't far, maybe 30-50m away.

I think this is now my favourite dorm I've stayed in in Thailand! It's basically a hotel, the room is so so nice and spacious and modern and clean and comfortable. The beds are lovely. They give you bottles of water and free tea and coffee, as well as a kettle and fridge! Nice big room. Plenty of space for your stuff. We had our own shower room and toilet. Hairdryer, aircon and fan. Free towels provided. Friendly staff. Safe, key card system.
