Amari Don Muang Airport Bangkok

Good breakfast. This large hotel is quite old but is maintained absolutely magnificently. I’m a regular guest and every stay is pleasant and hassle-free. The effort put in by management and staff is much appreciated and effective.

We stayed for one night before our flight the next day from DMK. The location was superb - a short walk across the covered walkway and we were in the check-in area of the airport. We had a decent sized room on the fourth floor, with a clean and comfortable bed. The swimming pool was a bit of a bonus, and we spent a few hours there in the afternoon. Breakfast the following morning comprised a huge range of items and those that we tried were of a high quality. All staff we came into contact with were respectful, helpful and professional.

Whilst the room was clean and comfortable, some general updating of the finishes would improve things greatly. Not a complaint, just an observation.

The conveniency with the direct entrance from the airport to the hotel, as well as the facilities with the swimming, pool and the pool bar, room service and restaurant. I would really recommend this hotel for the first night in Bangkok if you have Jet lag and just want to sleep and relax before moving to other cities with domestic flights. this hotel really has everything that you would need including the gym. 

We had a room that had some funny smell,  kind of smoking room, even though we booked non-smoking.  The hotel is also covered in carpet and it’s a bit old, but it wasn’t an issue because of the service and conveniency and the low price.

I have to admit there is an attention to detail that is provided in this hotel that sometimes quite rare to find. I noticed it in the presentation of the food and drinks. I also found the check in to be quite effortless and very welcoming and efficient. As with a lot of people I am sure I only stayed the one night, as I needed it for a flight I had the next day. The position of the hotel to the airport, is probably as close an convenient as it can be, without the chaos of the airport. I have stayed here on 3 occasions, and can not fault it . The beds are very comfortable and I found the room to be well cleaned. I would definitely stay here again.

We knew we would arrive after midnight at DMK so we booked this hotel for convenience. After a few travel delays we only arrived at the hotel around 2am so the short walk to Amari and 24hr check-in were a huge relief. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fine. Staff were very nice. You pay extra for the super-convenient location but for us it’s always worth it.

The property is showing it’s age a bit but that’s not something that concerned us for our 1-night stay. This was our second stay here and we would definitely come back again.

Location alone is the outstanding consideration here. We arrived late at Suvarnabhumi Airport and had a departure from Don Mueang early the next day. You can take a free shuttle between airports with proof of a flight on the same or the next day. From the terminal at Don Mueang, the hotel is connected by a passage way. We were in our room within 10 mins of arriving. If you have an early departure or arrive late from somewhere why struggle with public transport or Bangkok’s notorious traffic? The Amati has a lovely, clean and warm, salt water swimming pool to unwind in. The breakfast is excellent and varied. Check in staff are courteous and efficient.

We recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with our experience. The staff were extremely professional and welcoming. The bed and room were easily the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel. I slept soundly throughout the night, which was much needed before our early morning flight. The location of the hotel at the airport was perfect for a sleepover, allowing us to easily catch our flight the next day. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay at the airport. The staff, bed, and breakfast were all top-notch and we would definitely stay here again.

Spacious rooms, quality tea and coffee, excellent air-con , comfortable beds which is a must in any hotel, very good rainforest shower with plenty of hot water and toiletries. Excellent swimming pool with well manicured gardens and a water feature. Food and drink in The Corner was wondering and so were the staff and entertainment (singer) The staff in all areas are very attentive and always smiling which makes a sad day a better one. What surprises me is we are that close to the airport with a walkway that leads directly in to departures and yet you cannot hear a plane, that’s a huge plus for us. We have been traveling Asia for the last 40 years and when we are in Thailand we will definitely use this hotel when transiting.

Peoples comments about the hotel needing refurbishment. They are refurbishing, but after a long and difficult 4 years due to covid it takes time and money. All round Thailand it’s the same, it’s just starting to wake-up.

The hotel is only a couple of minutes in a covered walkway from Don Muang airport, which is great after a late flight. Airport hotels are usually soulless places offering the bare minimum, but from the moment we arrived it was excellent. A warm and friendly welcome, a porter rushing to help us off the escalator, a lovely, spacious room. The breakfast has a vast choice of western and asian food and it was all lovely.

The shower points straight at your face and you cannot angle it down on to your body. The only criticism at breakfast was the fried eggs had been cooked a long time ago, but the chef immediately cooked us fresh when we asked.

Excellent for an overnight stay for a next day flight from DMK. Comfy bed and spacious room, very modern bathroom and shower too (I had no problem with constant hot water). Big pool with sun loungers + umbrellas makes it a sweet spot to get some rest and sun! They even provide outdoor towels. There is a special made overpass walking tunnel that connects from the DMK terminal 1 building to the hotel across the highway street.

ROOM: I could hear a beep very often during the night from the elevators. Also there were around 4 mosquitoes in my room which made the night unpleasant. Had a hard time finding them all with dark curtains and carpet. There is only ONE PLUG SOCKET in the whole of the room, on the other side of room. So you can't charge devices near the bed.. and is you are two people, one will have to wait. POOL: unfortunately no one active outside at the bar to get a drink or snack, so you need to go indoors to the restaurant to order - and they will bring it outdoors to you.
