Protea Hotel by Marriott Kampala Skyz

The location is strategic with stunning view, security and easily accessible to town. Exceptional breakfast varieties with stunning view. I looked forward to having breakfast and African tea with my friends. Overall, the staff were professional and friendly. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel as I experienced the lovely night band performance, wellness Spa and gorgeous roof top bar. I can't thank the hotel employees enough for their kindness and hospitality from the Operation Manager Davis Mugabi;FoH team- Hajarah, Steven, Patrick and Vianey; Catering and FnB service team- Salim, David, phiona, loyce. My First trip to Uganda was wonderful and can't wait to return.

amazing staff - really helpful at checkin and checkout - the room was on the top floor and had amazing views, the rooftop bar was fantastic

The bathroom could have been a little cleaner, there was a hand print on the shower and there was dirty water residue in the basin. The catch on the balcony door was broken, and there was access to the balcony from the adjoining room - The good thing was that as soon as I informed the front desk they came and permanently locked it

This establishment is a very well run and managed property. The staff makes a huge impression with their friendliness and willingness to ensure that residents are well looked after. I have stayed in many 5 star establishments all over the world but this establishment truly shows that the people of the establishment is the difference. Thank you to everyone and a special note of thanks goes to Chef Manoj Ganmote for making me one of the best meals (Nile Tilapia with vegetables) I have eaten during my travels over the years. I was blown away by the service and friendliness of the staff.

Mini fridge not really cold and no drinks in mini fridge for convenience.

The cleanliness from inside the rooms, to the spacious common areas. They do a good job tidying up the entire hotel. The workers are mostly friendly and show dedication to their jobs. They have a wonderful breakfast with a wide selection of food items.

Slightly overpriced room selection but not many negatives overall

My stay was exceptional and I really enjoy every bit of my stay, I also enjoyed the choice of breakfast, I must say I had fun and I look forward to visiting again.

I didn't like the fact that I couldn't access the pool at night, during the day it was kids on the pool and I called and confirmed if I can swim at night which I was assured I can swim at night but there's no instructor. When I came to swim at night, I was told the pool was just treated and I can't swim 😔

situated on the hilltop , it is ideal for night view. perfectly located few minutes away from Kampala city centre.

I wouldn’t say there was anything I hardly liked. overall, the property was immaculate during our stay, however I feel the Perspex on bathroom glass needs to be replaced.

Stayed for a total of six nights at Protea and found the hotel to be lovely. From check in to check out I found all of the staff to be genuinely kind and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean, with all of the amenities that one would expect in a hotel of this price point. The bed was comfy and allowed for a good nights sleep. Breakfast was tasty with something for everyone. Plenty of nice areas to sit around the hotel and work or just relax. WiFi worked well for me. And the view is to die for!!

If I’m being nit picky, the plastic, worn looking shower mat and old, exposed toilet brush is an eyesore in such a luxurious room aesthetic. It also would’ve been great to have an ATM for international guests on the property

Breakfast had many varieties to choose from and they were tastefully prepared.

Music from the rooftop bar could be heard in my room.

Fantastic view,variety breakfast, friendly receptionist by the names of Hajara.
