Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Phoenix North - Scottsdale, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is within walking distance of a great shopping center and restaurant precinct. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The automatic light in the bathroom took a bit of getting used to as it is very bright (especially if you have been in a dark room and then walk into the bathroom!) I thought the breakfast provided was great with more options to eat than I was expecting. Having an onsite laundry also proved useful.

The citywide lack of public transportation means cars or Uber/taxi is required to get any where but that is not the hotels fault - just a fact that means it is not easy to get around.

Breakfast could be so much better. Danishes and toast were à bit stale... like yesterday's or even the day prior to that. Bacon was burnt. Butter pods had been melted and they solidified themselves again. You could tell from the color of it. Probably to close to the pancake maker or toaster. But eggs ...yogurt ... fruit ... coffee was nice. Suites were nice and clean with the exception of the shower. There was some hair left on the floor of the stall.

Bed was very lumpy ... so very uncomfortable. Needs to be changed.

The bed and pillows were the best I've had at a hotel. The fact that the towels were replaced, the bathroom cleaned daily was a bonus! Having an ice machine nearby was also nice, but seriously, $3.75 for a coke?

The coffee. Sorry, but in this day and age, there isn't a good reason to have yucky coffee. :-) As a mother with adult children and no grandchildren, I would LOVE someday to have one floor designated a no child zone. I know, I can dream.

Room was perfect with nice comfortable beds. Had everything we need. Breakfast has enough of a variety to have three different breakfasts over our stay.

We were given two keycards one didn’t work. We got another from reception and that didn’t work, tried again and it didn’t work. Other guests seemed to have the same issue. Just give out one keycard if two don’t want to work!

Nice comfortable facilities, good breakfast with hot options, outdoor pool was perfectly heated, spa was soothing, and the hotel is very close to the District (very large shopping area with loads of stores, restaurants, bars and entertainment options) and other shopping areas. Also important for our purpose: about 8 minutes away from the Reach 11 Soccer Complex.

Very minor issue: pool towels were not regularly restocked or available.

Comfortable room with appropriate conveniences

Booking.com provided two different addresses of Holiday Inn Express hotels in their reservation confirmation and then a follow on email advisory. I had to sort this out by calling the 1st Hotel that was "confirmed" to find out the actual reservation was a different 2nd location. The reservation desk rep at the 2nd location said this has happened before, they have called Booking.com several times about the issue, but it has not been fixed.

You can place at least 2 bottles of water in the rooms as opposed to telling guests that they can buy water from the hotel, or to go to the gym with a container and get water. This is unheard of. I've stayed in hotels in third world countries and there was water in the rooms. I recently stayed 3 weeks in a Holiday Inn in Warsaw, Poland, and, not only was there water in the room, it was replenished every time they cleaned.

Proximity to medical facilities and staff was helpful and respectful of our privacy. The breakfasts were great and nutrition oriented- a good start every day! Comfortable bed and room temperature was adjusted as we needed it! Bathroom and all very clean!

Compact car parking everywhere made it hard to park bigger rigs... We managed though.

I was havin dental Implants n the facility was just around the corner from the hotel that's y I choose this hotel, the breakfast was a bonus cuz I was able to eat the scrambled eggs after my procedure which was a bonus 😋
