Hampton Inn & Suites Oakland Airport-Alameda

The full bar was a nice surprise. The light food offerings were appreciated. The Caesar salad was fresh and big enough for two people. The pizza was okay but I wish we had ordered the wings. They looked delicious. The complimentary breakfast was very good and offered everything a traveler could want: eggs, breakfast meat, waffles, regular and sweet breads, cereal, fruit, a variety of beverages and delicious fresh brewed coffee. The breakfast area was kept very clean and re-stocked by a wonderful friendly staff person. The front desk person, Teary and the bar/food servers, Ashley and Angel, were friendly and welcoming.

All the pillows were down pillows. I like pillows that are firmer. That is my only complaint.

Safe location near airport, off the beaten path. Nice views. Very close to car rental return and airport. Fresh baked cookies out in lobby. Beds pretty good.

Early morning staff not very motivated or engaging...maybe he was just sleepy? This hotel unbelievably is still in some sort of Covid protocol? Only prepared bagged breakfasts, and in early morning none of those available to take, even though night clerk said we could get something at that time?

Breakfast was amazing. I loved the different strengths (dark roast, light roast) coffee they had in addition to decaf. 2 mini waffle makers and they change the flavors daily. They have scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal pastries, etc. Fruit, yogurt. A good variety.

Do not like the additional $16 for parking. Pull-out sofa bed is pretty bad. I knew this since we stayed there before so I brought a comforter for Xtra cushioning.

The property was very clean and located in a beautiful area I have Alameda. I love that the Hampton Inn and suites was located in front of Harbor Bay which had a better view than the Hilton and was less expensive. Upon arrival, the staff was very accommodating to me and my family’s needs. The room was upgraded to suit our needs without additional charge. We had a beautiful view of the bay and was able to watch the sun set. Upon arrival there was coffee and tea set up at the entrance with two chairs. It was very comforting for my son and I to arrive I receive wonderful hospitality and a welcoming staff.

Everything was very beautiful about this property especially its location. If there was any unpleasant tree, it was a couple of guests that showed up that were loud and once I report it to the front desk, management took care of the problem immediately and soon it was very quiet and peaceful once again.

Great rooms and great continental breakfast.. Nice lounge/bar area. Staff is super friendly and the bed was really comfortable.

I did notice that the lobby and downstairs areas were really upgraded but the carpets in the hallways were a pretty retro. But that's not neccesarily a bad thing.

Room was large with refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Bed was very comfortable. I never sleep well the first night in a hotel but I did this time. First time ever. Absolutely love the shower head and curtain which makes the shower feel spacious.

They ran out of cookies.

I loved everything about my stay. The staff was excellent they even went above and beyond trying to get the basketball game available for me to watch.

I wished I’d had been able to watch the Golden State Warriors game but was unable to get the game in room or lounge but the staff tried their best which was super nice.

Comfortable rooms. Nice amenities. good continental breakfast.

Possibly a larger restaurant for lunch/dinner. the woman working the small eating area was fantastic! But the food was light (wings, pizza, salads, beer/alcohol).

Amazing place to call home while touring the bay area. Very handy to airport and ferry terminal as well as Oakland arena. Even with close proximity, we did not hear one plane during our stay. This will be my go to next time I visit the bay.

Hotel in quiet location . Breakfast was nice . Room size was excellent.

Staff was not friendly at reception . They don’t greet . They look like they are too busy to use customer service . Bench near bed was stained and so were pillow cases. Biggest disappointment was when a staff member entered my room without knocking . She used her key to come in.
