Vagabond Inn Executive Hayward

OMG how clean it was. (Had just come from a dumpy hotel like 5miles away and i was there like 10 minutes and decided to leave and book this hotel instead) i was so happy when i walked in and saw how clean it was. Super cute. Updated. Location is great. Gas station across and if you walk like 5-10 minutes you find BK- grocery store- starbucks- target etc. Just perfect. Was here for the Agust d concert and would totally be back at this hotel for any next venue event. So close to arena and airport (both like 10 min car drive) just perfect right of the highway. Good security too (need hotel key to open outside doors and hallway doors) super safe. Amazing lil hotel.

No breakfast but i rather have a clean place than food. So it is fine 🙂

I've stayed at the Vagabond several times over the past 5 years and it rarely disappoints. The bed, shower, bathroom, TV, WiFi, AC, and lighting are good to great. There are plenty of places in walking distance to buy food.

They discontinued Free Breakfast. After the pandemic hit, they provided pre-wrapped breakfast items. Now nothing. At least there is a McDonald's, 7-11, and Extra Mile nearby. I recommend 7-11 for variety.

It was clean and comfortable. Surprisingly nice for the price. I was expecting less quality given the price but it was pleasant. It's on a busy road if that kind of thing bothers you. It doesn't bother me. I couldn't hear any of the other guests at all.

There's no elevator. And there's a key to get into the stairwell which I always find cumbersome. Although I'm sure it's for safety.

The bed, bathroom, shower, lighting, refrigerator, microwave oven, AC, and WiFi were great. The TV was excellent and the desk manager helped set it up because it was stuck between functions. There were many restaurants around to get food.

I have no complaints and wish I had an extra day.

Excellent location — lovely drive over the San Mateo bridge to SFO airport (~20 min drive). Always clean and quiet rooms, nice staff and patrons, free abundant parking, and there's a gas station mini mart across the street which is super convenient. Have stayed numerous times throughout these recent years and appreciate the security of the hotel and comfort of the rooms (micro, coffeemaker, fridge). There's something homey about this hotel... I like the vibe here.

The clean areas where we walk in, the rooms were clean. Bathroom was very clean. Very important to us, since my husband has battled cancer it's important.

The waiting, to check in. The window doesn't up open very much. No continental breakfast.

Location was good quick access to freeways really not a bad deal . Comfortable need to get over covid and bring back Breakfast.

Tv was bad color was bluish couldn't fix it

Extremely clean, small touches like tea available in the lobby, nice smelling towels.

Everything is very old, because of this there's some smell of an old place there

Forget to get deposit and came back hours later to which the young man grabbed and laughed with me over forgetting. Nice lad.

The young lady at the desk was a little rude but the young man was great. The next day the young lady had a better attitude and made up for it so....not bad overall.
