Perfect location right in the middle of town. With the comfy outdoor chairs you can either take in the early morning and watch the resident squirrel feeding from the tree box or have a relaxing drink in the evening before you go to bed. Huge rooms with very comfortable beds. Large fridge to keep your drinks cool. Modern bathroom. Solid traditional feel. In close proximity to local microbrewery with great beer and food. All the activities on Kern river in walking distance. Very quiet at night. Staff very helpful and friendly. A place you would always be happy to return to.

The manager of Kernville Inn was very honest and helpful. I thought that Kernville was at Sequoia national park, while it was 3 hours drive from there. However, the manager of Kernville Inn accepted, at last minute, to change our reservation from two nights to one night, and reimbursed us for one night. The place was nice and clean. There is a good brewery nearby and a very nice river.

The lady at the front office was not very knowledgeable regarding the possible activities to be done in the area. But she was still very kind.

We have stayed at the Kernville Inn for a few years now, coming up for Whiskey Flats or Fall Festival. This time it was the KernTucky Derby. We have also come up "just because" on several occasions. We love the location and will continue to stay there. The female hostess at the deck was very friendly and amazing.

We were coming from Bakersfield and the 6:00 pm check in deadline was a little hard to reach. I called because I was afraid we might not make it. The girl that answered the phone was extremely helpful and nice. We ended up getting there with 15 minutes to spare and again the woman was amazing, but the man sitting at the desk asked why we hadn't checked our email. It just sounded like he was a little put out that we didn't go through all the late check in information. I didn't mind, but one of my girlfriends thought he was being rude.

We checked in late and the office was closed so I called the number that was posted and now one answered so as I was getting in my truck to leave a woman came out of the office and was really rude. I told her that I was just following the instructions on the office door, I didn't mean to bother you and she stated well we are up know so let's get you checked in but said it in a sh----ty way.

Office staff was courteous and pleasant. Check-in was easy as was check-out. The room was a perfect size for our 1 year old, my mom and us. I really liked how clean it was and how maintained the grounds are. Oh my goodness, the pool..... for being an outdoor pool it was super clean and refreshing, we had it to ourselves during our stay and it was awesome.

Location, cute/vintage

No soundproofing. Neighbors kept tv on til 4 am at least so i slept fitfully. Heater is only in bathroom so had to keep that door open since only 34 degree outside. also that heater was noisy but temporarily drowned out the neighbors tv. The one extra blanket was thin. Bathroom sink old faux marble with cracks , and too little counter space. One side of bed had no bedside table or lamp. No closet; 4 wall hooks inadequate. Cheapest fix would be a new sink console with more counter space; small bedside table with light for the bed side opposite the dresser; more wall hooks or a closet rod. Quieter heat/air system. Soundproofing insulation between rooms or turn down tv max. volume between 11 pm and 6 am

Kernville is a small town with amazing atmosphere. The Inn is situated strategically in the center near everything. Our room was clean and well equipped, with AC preset to refreshing cool. The staff was welcoming. The pool access as well as armchairs on the patio in front of each room were a nice bonus. We enjoyed our stay there.

The walls are a bit thin.

Location, Atmosphere. J1772 EV charging in walking distance (but only 2 plugs). The Italian restaurant across the street was open Sunday night when everything else was closed, and it was decent food with great service.

Beds are way too soft and sagging, but someone out there must like it this way :-)

I loved the kitchenette in our room. It allows the opportunity to cook what you want or store snacks as though you would at home. The area also has a convenience store and antique and gift shops. And the river is right in your backyard!

I loved everything about the stay so I have zero complaints. A suggestion might be to offer bike rentals or tube rentals for guests since the park and river are right behind the grounds.

No breakfast provided but a diner is next door. Location in the pleasant little town was excellent. Nice little swimming pool.

Only negative is that the soundproofing between rooms is inadequate. We could hear every word spoken by our immediate and rather noisy neighbours.
