Quality Inn Merced Gateway to Yosemite

We arrived late at night, the parking lot was well lit, clean, we felt safe walking in the parking lot at night. We checked in, the staff were professional, efficient, and friendly. Room space was plenty for us (three adults) beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. It had a small fridge and microwave. There is a 24 hour AM/PM across the street, we got bottled water and other items, the area around the hotel and the mini market was clean, and well lit. Breakfast was good, they had eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, milk, muffins, waffles, and a good juice selection. Overall, we had a good experience, and we will stay here again.

Freeway and train tracks are in front of the hotel, a few loud trains and many noisy semi trucks were going by throughout the night, I am a light sleeper, so I kept waking up during the night. Our room was facing the freeway and train tracks, ask for a room facing the opposite direction, maybe the noise levels will be lower.

The price was very agreeable for being in Merced, as there really is nothing in this town to warrant the high prices of the other hotels.

The other guests were very loud in the hallways for some time on Saturday. There was some yelling and some sort of argument right outside my door which made the hotel seem very ghetto.

only one entrance wich is cool, quiet place and organized.

they charge you 150 dollars as deposit on your card but at the moments i haven’t got it back. called multiple times but they don’t answer the phone.

The front desk Jaime is a wonderful gentleman.

I believe they can update their rooms, tv and bathroom. I wasn’t too happy that we couldn’t get more towels!! we had to take the use towels to the lobby to exchange.

location and the staff was top notch - everyone was pleasant and very helpful there were a few things that needed tending to and the staff was great

We had the best staff and great room , the only problem was the bed was broken or at least the box spring was . So it wasn’t comfortBle for my husband , but we did the best we could , we didn’t feel like packing all of our stuff up to complain and move . Other then that it was a great stay

Very nice & clean room, appreciated the extra touches such as lotion, even hand sanitizer.

Was sorry there wasn't a way to adapt to COVID regulations but still provide breakfast.

The room was smaller than the Courtyard Marriott next door, but this room offered a microwave and costed half the price!

The bathroom was a little small but still functional.

The staff was great. Clean room, and great area to stay at because it’s by the freeway.
