Blue Iguana Inn

We loved our stay. Everyone was so welcoming. Our "Casita" was just exactly what we needed with our dog along with us. It had a full kitchen, living area, separate bedroom and bath. The level of comfort just fit our desires and allowed the dog to be himself. The grounds were big and allowed us to take the puppy our for his last "walk" each evening without leaving the property. Finally, the Ojai to Ventura walking/biking path across the street gave us the opportunity to take a long walk each morning in the shade of the trees. We will definitely come back.

The only difficulty is entering the Inn's driveway off the main road (CA 33). It's pretty busy and coming back from Ojai to the Inn involves an awkward left-hand turn across oncoming traffic. Everything else was wonderful.

The check-in process was seamless and very friendly. Our room (#10) was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The room was right off the pool area, which we did use. Towels were provided and there were shade and sunny spots to lounge. We did drive into town for the evening as there is no restaurant on the premises. It was a short drive, easy to come and go. We did get the breakfast basket for the morning which was wonderful! Some items came along with us because we just couldn't eat everything. The grounds are very lovely . I was a little hesitant about the noise coming off the highway but it really wasn't bad and they do provide ear plugs, if needed (I didn't find the need).

Beautiful, secluded oasis, we will go back in a heartbeat. The private bungalow was like having your own little home away from home. And it was great that they have a private area for our dog to run around. The neighbors roosters were a surprise that we didn’t bargained for, but it added to the charm. There is also a little creek in the back area that feels like you are in dream. We loved Ojai but what made it the best was the Blue Iguana Inn. What a wonderful experience.

Only that we aren’t able to live there permanently.

SO CUTE! The room looked clean and smelled awesome! Entire property was attractive. Bikes were available to rent and there was a fire pit area too, but we arrived too late to enjoy those amenities. Bed and pillows were comfortable! Pool /hot tub area pretty. Bath robes available for use in the room:) Prepackaged gift for sale in room, along with snacks/drinks for purchase. We didn’t partake due to the price.

The pool closed at 9 pm and we arrived so late we had less than an hour. Too bad it’s not open until 10-11 pm. There is some rose/traffic noise heard on property, BUT it didn’t disturb me in my room. Room needs microwave!!

The architecture, location, cleanliness. bed, pillows, peaceful.

suggestions, we stayed in #8 and if you could provide a screen door to the French Doors so we can keep the doors open. Another set of dishes and a few more pool towells and a couple of other umbrellas at the pool for shade. I know employees are difficult to find, but each time we went downstairs to see someone in the office during work hours during a 4 night stay, there was no one in the office. With the lack of Employee maybe offer a way to communicate with an employee to answer questions. thank you for a beautiful hotel, We loved our stay.

Great value! large rooms. lovely setting. warm and inviting Hacienda style decor decor. coffee maker and fridge in room. outdoor patio area for each room. free parking near room.

Internet! terrible reception. not reliable. no room service unless requested (didn't know that) so had to rinse the coffee pot in the bathroom sink. some furnishings need new cushions as they are very hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom is a bit dated and needs a refresh.

Fitted sheet didn't fit bed? Bottom of mattress showed the entire time. Wish I didn't have to see or fix that. Disappointed they don't come in to tidy up rooms anymore... Charge extra for that now? Seems like an excuse to charge the same but not do as much work. Where do you put your dirty coffee cups? Restock your own coffee. Covid changed all these service industries. I miss it. Too many chargeable snacks in the fridge and counters. Not enough room for our own. In the way.

The style of the whole hotel, the decor in the room, the size of the hotel. Individual tiny shampoos and conditioners, not these big dispensers in the bathroom. Enough towels. Pretty quiet even facing the busy street.

First they charged me with 2 of $6.00 water bottles which we did not drink at all! The housekeeping might have been not very keen. Who really drinks these expensive water bottles today ?! The hotel is located bit far from the center of the city. The mattress is bit soft. The brochure says there is breakfast, but there was no breakfast.

Room was beautiful, pristine, comfortable. Very nice (soft) mattress and bedding. Loved the Spanish tile floors. Small but nice pool. Super jacuzzi.

Road noise when at pool. Room quiet. Save ur money on breakfast basket. Morning desk person a downer. Not a smile. Flat voice and emotions. Afternoon desk person super.

The room was cozy, clean and a good size, it had a great little fireplace that warmed the whole place in a few minutes and last but far from the least for me: the bed was super comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We pre-ordered a breakfast basket and it did not disappoint. The basket was perfect to have the evening we checked in as well as upon wake up. We had our 20lb. Cockapoo with us and there was enough room to set up his collapsible house and areas for him to lounge. The property is lovely and great for walking a dog.

The room above us was occupied and when those guests got up at 4 AM to depart, that pretty much ended our sleep as well.
