The closeness of it to the Saturday Farmer’s Market and Main Street shops and restaurants AND the delicious weekend breakfast buffet, with waffles, too! 🧇💕

Parking is a bit limited, but it worked out okay. Our “view” from our bedroom/sliding door was blocked by a huge wooden fence(which I’m sure is for security reasons!) We did manage to see the beautiful, old fig tree and lovely park and mural, from the bathroom mural! Rm. 118 Could also use a post in the room to press 30 on remote for TV listings! 👍😉💕

The Clocktower has a variety of rooms. Their photos are accurate so choose your favourite. We wanted a large room with lots of windows and found it as pictured. It had hardwood floors and deep granite window sills, a Spanish Colonial vibe and great comfy beds with crisp white linens. For picky people, the cheap remote with Scotch tape repair and peeling non-stick in the bath tub might be occasions for a tantrum, but for us, the great draperies over the truly impressive expanse of graceful mullioned windows and sense of serenity and care about the place are what we noticed and appreciated, hence the exceptional rating. It is an exceptional place and one we will long remember as one of our favorite places.

A longer stay would have been nice.

Staff was always helpful. From almost having to cancel our stay to ending up helping us extend our stay, the staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. They made everything easy!! They even provided us a roll away bed. The weekly breakfast was excellent. It consisted of hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, an assortment of breads to toast with different toppings, fresh fruit, 2 different cereals, coffee, orange juice, and even a waffle maker. The weekend breakfast buffet was even better. They even had beach towels and sand toys available to check out at no extra charge. That really helped when we went to the beach! Shops and eateries were within walking distance Overall, out stay was great! I would absolutely stay here again.

The room was stunning, we loved the room. There was a fridge which we used and it was unplugged. Could be our mistake but just make sure you check if staying here! The room was very comfortable, a good size and had a lovely view.

We prearranged a crib for the room which was not set up and available and our little one ended up waking up. However this was resolved. Breakfast was disappointing - it was not well maintained and stocked, it was a bit messy and it lacked variety. There were bagels and philadelphia, pancakes and syrup, yoghurt and oatmeal. Even adding in some fruit and some savory items would be a bonus.

The location was excellent. Loved being able to just walk to downtown and it is also a great launching spot for other areas such as Ojai, Santa Barbara, Los Olivos and Los Alamos. All of which we visited during our stay. We also really loved the size of our room. It was extra large and had a lot of windows and natural light.

The elevator was broken the entire stay. Didn’t mind having to use the stairs except when having to carry our luggage and heavy items up and down. Loved the room extra large room, but the bathroom was very small and not easy to maneuver with two people. Also, the fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and you couldn’t avoid not turning it on as it came on with the light. So loud you couldn’t hear the tv if it was on. The fan should be repaired or replaced. Lastly, the room could use a little TLC or updating. Wasn’t bad, just a little old and out dated. Could also use a little larger tv with better audio for that size of a room. Hard to see and hear. Especially when the bathroom fan was on.

room was exquisite! location would've been excellent had i been there for shopping. But i was not there for shopping....shopping and dining out were happening all around the Clocktower. So anyone who comes for shopping and dining out would be very happy. i was happy with the location to the beach. That is what i was there for.....i also wish the Clocktower would've offered a washing maching and dryer. Also the hot tub....aching bones due to so much walking...

make a little store inside the hotel...also offer washer and dryer...and some spa time....

Good position for walking to the beach, local supermarket, Ventura Harbour. Free parking, if space available. However, there is a public car park next to hotel. Quiet room across from main reception. Simple breakfast available. Helpful receptionist.

Room was dark and had access to outdoor seating area but this was untidy and not a particularly welcoming space. The room was clean but had an unusual smell of cleaning liquid but it was during Covid, so better to be thoroughly cleaned. The hotel could do with a bit of TLC.

The location is great. It is near the mission, plaza, art museum, shops, and very good restaurants. Nice lobby and atrium. Not currently serving breakfast except brown bag take out, but the atrium will be a nice spot when they start up again. Room was comfortable with good light and a walk out patio. I liked the character of the architecture and interior..

The hotel is showing signs of wear and tear in hallway carpet and bathroom, but overall pretty good. The first level exterior patios could use a few plants. Not much to look at except a wood fence. My sons used to live in Ventura, so we know the area well. There are fewer homeless and thrift stores than than 10 years ago, but Main Street is still struggling due to Thomas Fire and the pandemic.

Room was clean, big for our family. Breakfast is served from 7 am till 10 am and is good. Location is central and close to many restaurants. Spa was great at the hotel. Staff was helpful and friendly. We can borrow beach towels and beach toys for kids at the reception and my kids were super happy to play with them. Even the housekeeping staff was on time and did a great job.

Everything was good.
