Americas Best Value Inn - Porterville

I was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. The room was well appointed and was much better than I expected for the price. It was definitely America's best value. I will look for this hotel change when I travel again.

The front desk person was not particularly helpful. The area in the lobby was restricted to employees only. (What's up with that? ) I rarely use a pool when traveling, but on this occasion it would have been nice, the weather was perfect.

When I googled pet friendly inns, America best value popped up. I even called to confirm and was told that it was pet friendly. However, when I arrived to the location from LA, I was told no pets allowed. Thankfully the clerk there when I checked in was understandable and allowed my pet to stay. Hats off to the staff member who checked me in....

Rooms look nice and clean. Bathrooms look recently remodeled and look very nice. The showers look great. Plenty of hot water. Beds are very comfortable.

There weren’t really any blankets. Just multiple sheets. So I used the heater. But the heater is somewhat noisy. Sometimes house keeping skipped my room.

I loved how peaceful and beautiful this place is! It’s a perfect spot for all your needs in a lovely small but growing town!

My one and only complaint is that the tile in the restroom wasn’t cleaned which raises a huge concern for myself in regards to the rest of the room. It makes me wonder if they genuinely clean and disinfect the entire place.

Bed was comfortable, ac worked great, shower was very spacious great for couples and the parking was good and roomy

My girlfriend felt a bit itchy from the thicker sheet of the bed. It was a yellow one. I was fine but we just moved it to the middle of the two sheets and kept using it

Great rooms, nice bathroom. King size room was good.. Parking is right outside the room, which is super convenient. Room, bed was clean. Comfortable. A chair outside the room, one can chill outside at night. Good Stay.

Check in was super safe - through a window outside basically contactless. No need to go inside with staff. Super quick. The property looked nice and not janky. Inside the room looked and felt clean. Very basic but our king bed room had a fridge cover maker and microwave! Had to unplug the fridge cuz it was a bit too loud to sleep but even still I gave this place a 10/10 rating. Pillows could be better, but the bed was perfect and the cleanliness factor was great. All cleaning staff were wearing masks when we checked out. Heater worked fine too & there’s a fan in the room

I guess if I’m being picky, could use some more comfortable pillows. But not much to complain about

Value for money. I could stay at newly renovated room. So, bathroom was much cleaner than my previous stay there.

If you have old room, you may have a relatively dirty bathroom, where you can not walk in with barefoot.

Comfortable small room, modern and clean bathroom, nice staff. We stayed when traveling to Sequoia National Park and enjoyed our stay.

It was really hot in the room, the AC wasn't efficient enough.

Loved my stay here only thing missing was it would be nice to have had a refrigerator in the room for people staying for days at a time other then that room was always clean property was clean and quiet love it here
