Fairfield Inn by Marriott Visalia Sequoia

Clean, quiet, easy walk from parking lot to elevator. Although our room was close to the elevator, it was quiet most of the time. Bed was comfortable if maybe a little too soft. Would have liked 1 comforter and blanket rather than so many thin coverings. Bathroom lighting was not great and it was too easy to bump the bathroom door into the main room door if both opened at the same time. Plenty of room to spread out and lots of outlets to charge devices. Staff was friendly. Joi was very nice at check in. My husband asked another staff member to add his Marriott loyalty number to our reservation after check in and she took care of it quickly. The breakfast staff was clean and efficient. The clerk who checked us out was quick and friendly also. Breakfast was good although it would have been nice to have the choice of bacon or sausage. The breakfast area was clean and there were plenty of tables. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Visalia and would stay here again.

Better lighting and door positioning in bathroom. Choice of bacon or sausage at breakfast. A couple of thicker bed coverings instead of several thin coverings.

The staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly, responsive. Also like availability of snacks, drinks, frozen meals, etc in the lobby.

Poor lighting in bathroom. Very slow navigation on TV guide. Extremely slow and cumbersome charge system for snacks - the poor staff had to scroll over and over to find and ring up prices. One poor girl couldnt even generate a receipt. Must fix. I mean their just snacks! Also too much outside noise coming from leaf blowers very early but couldnt tell if on site or adjacent.

Great location. Clean/spacious room with microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Good air quality; smelled fresh and clean. Close to gas station, convenience store, restaurants. Free parking and free continental breakfast. AC in corridors and hallways. Felt really nice and cool walking in…especially in a 100 degree weather. Friendly staff.

Conveniently located about 45 minutes from Sequoia National Park. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice big TV. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hot breakfast was tasty with lot of options like waffles, oatmeal and eggs.

We were charged a parking fee of $10 per day and the person at the front desk never mentioned it; just charged my card. Also the shower curtain in the room was curved so the curtain kept sliding towards the middle. I think there used to be a door on the shower, but it got damaged.

Joanna at the front desk is amazing! She answered all our questions and was so helpful and friendly. The room was clean, great assortment for breakfast, including a fun waffle maker. Great location in town and close to restaurants and mall. Definitely recommend staying here.

1.5 hr away from General Sherman tree, but we knew that when booking.

All was excellent. Very friendly people working at this hotel. Clean. GREAT breakfast. Good restaurant close by. Bed is comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower did not work. There was a noisy argument at 4 am in the room next door that woke my wife up. I have poor hearing, so I didn't hear a word from next door.

The breakfast was uninspired pre-package sausage biscuits and mini-quiches that were slight warmed. The breakfast area was small and crowded. The room was comfortable as was the bed and the sofa bed for our grandson. The staff was very pleasant.

Better breakfast. There is a Denny's across the parking lot from the hotel.

The breakfast was great, and the weekend hours were perfect.

I was charged for parking and wasn't informed ahead of time or the website that there was a charge for it. We stayed two nights, and the room wasn't cleaned and beds weren't made between days of our stay.

Super friendly staff, comfy beds, decent breakfast. I really can’t say enough good things about the front desk staff and manager Joey!

Not a single thing to dislike !

I goofed up and booked the wrong night. I was able to move it but unable to cancel another night due to booking.com policy of no refunds. If and when I come to CA again, I will not book at a hotel that does not allow for changes in travel plans.
