LUMA Hotel San Francisco - #1 Hottest New Hotel in the US

The Luma is brand new (opened in June 2022) and a fantastic hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I chose to the Luma because it was within walking distance of Chase Center and I was there to watch a Golden State Warriors match. I felt safe walking to and from the game at night. A bonus across the street was Gus's Community Market which was great to get some good quality produce and supplies for a day of exploring San Francisco. Also within walking distance is the San Francisco Cal-Train Station. This was important for my trip as it was the best option for me as a solo traveler to get to and from Levi Stadium to watch the 49ers play the Tampa. The Luma was well priced and in the proximity of everything I needed, although it wasn't baseball season it is so close to Oracle Park that it is worth doing a tour even if it is out of baseball season. Once again, I'd like to thank the staff at the Luma they were incredibly nice and did anything they could to make your stay even more enjoyable. A place I'd definitely stay again and next time I will bring my family!

The only issue I had was that I usually like to stay somewhere that has breakfast included, but this is only my personal preference and is the only fault with this exceptional establishment.

This is such a lovely hotel -- it absolutely exceeded my expectations. Things I loved: -- The hotel is new (I heard it opened 6 months ago?) and it shows in how nice and clean the facilities are. I got a beautifully designed, modern room. I originally received a room facing construction and they were happy to switch it to a room with a beautiful view of the city. -- All of the staff was so kind, friendly, and helpful. -- They have an ADORABLE robot butler named Henry! The staff sent him up with a complimentary cookie shaped like the robot itself. He makes cute, R2D2-like noises when he drops off your stuff and asks you how your stay went. This was definitely a highlight of my stay. -- They give you a voucher for a free wine or beer to redeem at the rooftop bar. -- They have a nice cafe next to the lobby where they serve Craftsman & Wolves pastries. The design is so airy and open, and the cafe is very quiet and serene. -- Great location, right next to Oracle Park, only 15 min drive to SFO. The surrounding area is super safe and within walkable distance of lots of nice restaurants and cafes.

Very modern hotel with great accommodating rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and very well maintained and thought out. The partition was a great touch. Along with the automatic shade and black out curtain.

The rooms were a bit bare, could of used a nice mirror in the room itself not just the bathroom. A painting or art piece on the wall would add so much character as well. The breakfast was not included and the selections were very limited but decent. The tv was insanely difficult to connect my hdmi for my laptop and trying to figure out how to get the tv to switch to the correct input setting was such a hassle. Definitely room for improvement or troubleshooting a solution.

We loved the cleanliness of the hotel and the ease of parking and check-in. The distance to the park was convenient and made our stay for the game that much more enjoyable. It was quiet and I did not hear any street noise! The amenities were modern and functional- very comfortable rooms! We had drinks at the rooftop bar and enjoyed watching the talented bartenders make craft drinks. The coffee shop in the bobby was also delicious. 10/10 recommend.

I don't have many complaints at all but if there was one thing I didn't like it was the lotion/shampoo/conditioner provided for our stay. I usually bring my own but this time I didn't. It just smelled funny to me. HA- it really was no big deal at all.

The room was quite nice and comfortable. Unique lighting and mirrors. Nice TV which accepted an easy Chromecast connection. Good views from floor-to-ceiling windows with push-button curtains. Good food and drinks at Cavana. Good location for UCSF visits or Giants/Warriors games.

Deal killer. No coffee maker in the room. You have to go downstairs and buy coffee and they don't have decaf. Made for a grumpy ride home. The ice maker was not working on our floor. Elevators require a tech degree to operate and the music was too loud in Cavana to carry on a conversation. Parking rates are ridiculous. We were charged extra because "the circus was in town" and that qualified as a special event.

Beautiful hotel, great location near the Chase Center and ballpark. Staff was very pleasant, professional and helpful. Good security for safety. Amazing rooftop bar with incredible view of the city. Huge bathroom and shower; it did have a weird window that looked out from the bathroom into the hotel room itself (!), but there was also an electric blind that could be closed for privacy... strange but unique!

A bit expensive. No nearby parking so you'll have to pay extra for valet service (although their valets are FAST). Coffee was expensive and pretty bad. Pastries were expensive, too, but pretty good.

I loved everything…

We really loved our stay at LUMA. the proximity to Oracle Park is why we chose there, but we will stay again during future stays to the city. From the moment we pulled up, Aaron, the valet, was so accommodating. Checking in with Nam was a breeze. The elevator attendant Kevin was so professional. James also filled in with elevator help amd was soooo friendly and awesome! Our room was so clean, when i asked for touch up service, Meijian went above and beyond, and our room was impeccable again. The lobby was specious and inviting. There is a beautiful market just around the corner, Gus's, and we enjoyed our morning walks on the embarcadero. Thanks for the wonderful stay LUMA....until we meet again!

Excellent location for Oracle Park events. We stayed here for the Dead and Co. shows. Brand new ultra sleek hotel. The room was so comfortable. The decor was stylish and tasteful. Loved the retractable screen and blackout shades and the floor to ceiling window. We had a great view back towards the city and into Oracle Park. There’s probably an even nicer view of the bay from the upper levels of the bayside of the hotel. The bed and bedding were comfortable. Valet was expensive at $100 a night but they were fast and professional. There was a market across and down the street. There was a canal behind the hotel with a great walking path.

I am so impressed with this hotel! Firstly, the staff is so on top of it, and so friendly! The room is super modern, incredibly comfortable and state of the art! windows are controlled by remote, air con systems work really well, TV is great! The toiletries are FANTASTIC! Everything is Etro, so couldn’t be more premium! If you need any thing from housekeeping, they literally deliver it BY ROBOT! I was blown away when the Luma Robot delivered extra shampoo for me! The rooftop bar is a MUST! amazing drinks, stellar views

They don’t have a normal breakfast available, but that’s ok bc there are a number of cute restaurants near by
