Country Inn Sonora

The bathroom shower was awesome. The staff was friendly in the front office. Had to do a deposit of 100 dollars on our card that is refundable but we used to be able to do this with cash but no longer have that option. My husband and I are currently living in our car and when we do have money to stay somewhere we go to the Country Inn. No other hotel in this area of Jamestown or Sonora is better for your money.

Unfortunately my husband and I tried sleeping in a little bit before we had to check out and we were woken up by a housekeeper male employee that was cussing and being very frustrated outside of our room. Other than that the stay was perfect.

That they take our four legged family members. Nice pool. Location on west edge if Sonora is great, close to both Sonora and Jamestown. Good sized rooms and iarkjng right outside most rooms in the 300 block except ones behind the pool area. Receptionist is a very friendly gal, made me feel welcome both times we stayed here.

Room 322, Bathroom ceiling vent hadn't been cleaned in a long time, furry! But the cleaners work hard, they just need to be reminded to look upwards. Road workers were staying in a room just along from us, they out in from work the first night we were there at 3:15 a m. and talked at normal levels which was very loud at that hour plus left their work truck running with the radio on, so until they drove away again after 3:35 a m. it was impossible to sleep. One of these men also used a tree as a urinal in broad daylight, quite obviously they had no clue of accepted social behavior but I've been a resort manager and if this was my hotel, I would be talking to their head office about it.

Didn't have breakfast, but I did see complimentary coffee in the lobby and we had 2 packets of if coffee for the small 2 cup-coffee maker in our room. I would suggest 4 packets of coffee as we would drink 2 cups night and morning. Friendly receptionist at check in at 11 p.m.

Nothing for us on thus stay. But had there been kids playing in the pool immediately outside our particular room, the noise would have bothered me a lot, so as a retired Property Manager, I would suggest families with kids for the rooms on the 300 row and put couples with no kids on the ground or 2nd floor. No elevator which didn't affect us but I would not wish to lug my suitcases up to Floor 2 with my older bad knees so suggest requesting ground floor for folks like me. I would include these type of suggestions in your staff training program.

The staff were wonderful! Very sweet people, and good communicators. Room was very clean. WiFi was fast.

The bathroom in our unit was VERY strange. It did not have any counter space at all, there was nowhere to set anything down. There was a huge empty space that could have been used for a shelf or cabinet, but wasn't. The room smelled too strongly of bleach when we first arrived.

We stayed the night of the 4th of July. This property is dog friendly. Our dogs are extremely affected by the sound of fireworks. Tuolumne County does not allow fireworks. So this location was perfect. No fireworks. Everyone got a restful nights sleep

I wish they had a continental breakfast or at least coffee in the lobby. There is coffee makers in the room. I am a little skeptical about making coffee in those coffee makers

No breakfast or beverages due to Covid. Room coffee maker did not work.

Room coffee maker did not work. Shower curtain pole was bent and dangerously pointy. Should be replaced. Tv a little challenging to figure out. Tv list might have been helpful. All minor to us. We knew to ask for an extra blanket as heater is noisy. Blanket only covered half of king sized bed, but I had brought my favorite from home, as I was sure my hubby would roll over and take the hotel one anyway. Country inn was the closest to our grandkids home and affordable, which we deeply appreciated. Clean , and comfortable. No elevator, but 1st and 3rd floors are accessible and there is an accessible room.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful until last day. Originally only staying 1 night, but had car issues and ended up staying a week. We were able to extend visit on a day by day basis and keep our same room.

Because we were there for a week without a car nothing close for eating within walking distance.. Thank goodness for Door Dash. Bottles of water and snacks way over priced. On the last day made my daily reservation for another day by 11 am as instructed. Found our car to be ready less than an hour later. Tried to cancel/ get refunded for our reservation for the night. I was told she could Not refund my stay. Thought this was not hospitable., being this was beyond our control and it wasn't even noon to clean and rebook and they were never fully booked. Just think it would have been good business to refund the last day after we had already stayed 8 days and never got a discount on the room.

it was comfortable and the girl Kiera at the front desk was really kind and hospitable. I would go back again definitely.

There was a blue blanket with a hospital sock in the walkway right at the bottom of the stairs the whole time. Felt a little questionable but other than that it was great.

We left before breakfast but always appreciate anything above a room and a good bed.

In room coffee pot made 32 oz of coffee but went off immediately after brewing. Up to date pots make on demand or bigger pots have a warm mode.

A clean.comfortable and quiet place to sleep. Nothing too fancy but everything that you need. The room was spacious.

The restaurants aren't in my walking distance but I planned to drive to the one's that I like in Sonora.
