The Berkshire Inn is absolutely wonderful and we cannot recommend it enough. If you're searching for a place to stay near Yosemite, stop looking ;-) We LOVED staying at the Berkshire Inn. The owners Chris and Brittany are amazing, so welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area and Yosemite National Park. The room we stayed in was rustic but comfortable. The bathroom isn't the newest you've ever seen but the shower's water pressure was fantastic (way better than a fancy 3-star hotel we stayed at, where it was barely more than a drizzle) and there were big, soft, fluffy towels. The porch in front of our room had a swinging bench, where my husband and I sat sipping drinks and watching the sunset over the mountains. We stayed at the Berkshire Inn for 3 nights and each morning, we were warmly greeted by the lovely owners and enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast. The best start for a long hiking day in the park! There was an array of options at the counter (homemade zucchini bread, juice, tea, coffee, breakfast rolls, fruit) and the owners made scrambled eggs or pancakes with fresh fruit to order! The cherry on top for us: during our vacation, we missed our dog enormously but the elderly family dog Buster is a total sweetheart and we enjoyed his company a lot. If we ever come back to Yosemite, we'll stay here again for sure.

Clean, spacious, delicious breakfast- and zucchini bread- YUM. The hosts were kind and went out of their way to mail our postcards for us. We were leaving early one morning and I mentioned it the night before. She brought us some of her Famous - and if it isn't famous it should be!!! Zucchini bread just to make sure we had a little something to eat. Our rooms were always cleaned and neat as a pin. We would definitely stay there again!! If you have any qualms or not sure about staying there... forget them. It was @ 0G we had a great time.

we liked everything

Great folks, Chris and Brittany were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and the place was really comfortable. Location would have been awesome except Yosemite closed the 120 entrance the night we stayed. Certainly not the fault of the Berkshire.

The only things that weren't perfect was the shower wasn't great, acceptable but pressure could have been better. The bed was a bit soft, but that's a personal preference. Don't let these minor things stop you. This is a great place to stay

Our host was exceptional! Friendly, accommodating, generous, delightful, welcoming, and overall excellent! Definitely, a wonderful place to visit when on the way to Yosemite. She went out of her way to accommodate my mother's diet restrictions and pivoted to give a great breakfast when PG&E unexpectedly shut off the power. 100% would recommend.

There is nothing I can think of that I didn't like! I wish PG&E didn't shut off power to their customers unexpectedly, but that was beyond the control of our host.

It was a very comfortable Inn, with a lot of open spaces to sit and relax in. I like having a great room. There was a nice one. And the outside covered patio was relaxing. It was nice to have coffee waiting when we got up in the morning. And a cat and a dog to pet and scratch, which always helps me unwind, and puts a smile on my face. Breakfast was nice. made to order. The owners were very easy going. It was simply, very relaxing.

Cream... Nothing beats real cream in my coffee. Oh well... ¯\_(シ)_/¯☕️

Double queen room was large and comfortable with lots of natural light during daylight hours. Great shower! Expansive wrap around porch right outside the room was delightful. Whole building is thoughtfully designed to be a B&B. It is both charming and highly functional. The Iron Door Saloon in nearby Groveland (2 mi) was great fun for a casual dinner. Breakfast was made to order when we were interested in eating it, rather than at a set time. Thank you, thank you! Hosts were helpful, friendly, and engaging.

Breakfast was really good and freshly prepared. Lots of little extras to make it nice and homey. Room was very, very clean and everything functioned well for the most part. hosts Chris and Brittany are very kind

Bathroom shower temperature seemed to be tough to keep from being really warm or really cold. But once you get it settled, it worked fine.

It was an interesting property - nothing that many Americans are to used to (sorry..)kinda reminded me my stay in Sienna Florence( Italy)- huge house with rooms to rent and dining area to share. Thank god we have our own bathroom as any room the property offers. I thought the description “room with private bathroom” is misleading cuz you think you might to share one .. The place itself is beautiful. The only down is too close to HWY 120 , hence, the noise, but it was only in room as we learned later . The view is breathtaking , you can take a short hike aerobic it up to the hill and see the Valley. The owners , the sweet couple and a kid, do the great job. Yummy breakfast was definitely a good bonus to our stay ( I didn’t expect that at all)!!! Was a good stay , will definitely stay again : planning to come back in a couple of weeks actually . Hopefully the inn will be busy during labour day weekend. Just a note - the vacancy sign or sign itself that there is Inn around the road is not really visible especially if you drive from downtown Groveland and easily can be missed for a first time even with gps.. maybe guys can put sign somewhere between it and Main Street unless it is not allowed…

It was in a beautiful location near Yosemite and a couple miles from the town center of Groveland. Berkshire Inn was a perfect place for a moms' weekend away with 9 friends. The couple running the place were amazing; they were so sweet and accommodating. And the food was fantastic. They had wine and beer ready for us when we arrived and made delicious coffee, zucchini bread, pancakes, eggs, and fruit for breakfast. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were spotless.

Breakfast varied between continental & full blown scrambled eggs w cheese & toast. Excellent zucchini bread; Brittiany will share recipe if asked. Great attached bath w shower, but no tub. Nice exterior door in room for late returns. Hosts are awesome folks who make you feel right at home.

Queen sized bed, as advertised, but I would prefer King; the room is plenty large & would support it. Bed itself was comfortable, room was very nice. We did not miss not having a TV in the room, but single traveler might.
