I work at Best Western Downtown Phoenix, and was really impressed with the Alpine Inn. I highly recommend it. When we arrived, we were assigned a room on the second floor so we asked if there was an elevator. The front desk employee asked us if we would prefer a first floor room, and we are grateful for that. The room was spotlessly clean, everything was functional. I was very impressed and we will return next week on our way back to Phoenix.

On our motorcycle trip from Richmond, Virginia to the Grand Canyon and back, we are enjoying the smaller, non-corporate family owned hotels. The Alpine Inn of Pagosa Springs is just that. We arrived early and Sophie was eager to accommodate. With a smile, she had us booked into #213 in a jiffy. The room was clean and bright after opening the curtains. The balcony is tiny, but a balcony nonetheless, overlooking the parking lot, mountains off to the distant. Bathroom was clean, with hot water and strong pressure. In the shower. The beds were a tad springy, soft. Pillows about medium. A continental breakfast is offered with breads, oatmeal, cereals and juices. The location was great. We needed to do laundry and hit Walmart and we were close to both. If you are looking for fancy, the Alpine Inn probably won't do it for you. If you want a great place to sleep, in a great location, for a decent price, this is it!

We liked how easy it is to get everywhere from the hotel. We were able to check in early which was nice! We were only there to sleep basically and shower, but had a good stay. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We didn’t have the breakfast, but looked to be mainly pastries and cereal. We ended up getting breakfast at 2 Chicks and A Hippie and it was great!

I don’t have any bad things to say. I personally didn’t like the bed, it was pretty hard and the pillows weren’t the greatest, but I was too tired to care and fell asleep immediately. We had a great stay for the one night we were in town!

Our room was clean and well kept up. It was quiet at night and the in room AC kept it comfortable in the 90 degree heat. The owners were helpful, made recommendations for restaurants and personally greeted us every morning. The breakfast wasn't fancy, but it was just what we needed to start off the day. The wifi was better than I have at home!

We're not morning people, so later breakfast time would have been appreciated. There was nothing fancy about the room, but we spent very little time there, so it was exactly what we needed.

The rooms were spotless, everything worked, and the people at the front desk were very helpful. We were so happy with the Alpine Inn on our way to Bailey that we stayed there on our way home to Phoenix. Breakfast was wonderful, real dishes and flatware instead of paper plates and plastic. Coffee was fresh, bagels were soft, front desk person was exceptionally attentive.

Nothing to dislike. Everything was perfect, like staying at a four diamond hotel.

I have stayed here twice. The Marriott it's not. However, I really like this hotel because the rooms are clean, the architecture is from way back, the staff is good. I noticed that our hotel, the Alpine Inn, parking lot full. Modest free breakfast just right for travelers. Walking distance to very good Mexican restaurant.

The parking lot could have been flatter.

The managers of Alpine Inn are generous and kind people who are willing to take that extra step to ensure their customers have a good experience. My wife left her very expensive hearing aids, and the managers did their best to contact us before we got too far down the road, but they had our home phone number instead of mobile. Then they mailed her aids to us, declining to be reimbursed for mailing expense. In addition, the breakfast room is pleasant, clean, and well stocked.

I am not a fan of those heater/airconditioner combinations, especially when there are only two settings for the fan: low or high, so one must either have the fan running continuously or turn off the heat, which is not a good option in January. Fans are always noisy, even on the low setting, and this disturbs sleep. Motels in the mountains should have a good, thermostatically controlled heating system that is quiet and doesn't blow air at sleepers all night.

Spacious rooms, quiet location and friendly and professional reception personnel. Made me feel as if I were a guest at a small inn in Central Europe! Thankfully it destroyed a myth that one has to have a dog in Colorado. (I love dogs, but don't own one) No pretentiousness at the Alpine Inn, nor in Pagosa Springs generally. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

All good! No suggestions.

Our room was clean, quiet and well appointed with a small frig, microwave oven and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast did not have an extensive array of offerings, but what they had (fruit, juices, cereal, pastries and coffee) was of good quality. There were good restaurants conveniently located nearby. There are hot springs located downtown. There is a hotel/bathhouse but also some springs street side that one can use free of charge.

I felt the Inn was a bit troublesome to find, but we were tired upon arrival and had driven thru some heavy rain showers. I'm sure that was a contributing factor.
