We LOVED the patio off the room facing the bay. it was an absolutely beautiful view of the sunset and the water. waking up to that view every day was well worth the cost of the room. we also really like that we could store our kayaks on the patio and use the boat ramp. They also have a little marina shop where you can get sporting good supplies! This hotel is also extremely pet friendly, the bottom floor patio allowed us to easily let the dog out. The resturaunt was really good and the room was clean. This place is a hidden gem! If you are looking for a clean, no-frills place to stay while not breaking the bank, this exceeds expectations.

The room was clean but definitely was old--particularly the shower. However, I realize that the more updates they make the more cost will go up, so I was personally fine with the older bathroom and furniture. I also think that part of the charm of this place is it's age...I hope that if they do update things they stick with the colorful 1950s motel charm because it's pretty adorable.

Specifically, I chose this hotel for its location and opportunity to watch for sea creatures and sunset views, and it certainly did not disappoint. The area felt safe enough to leisurely walk the area, even at night. And, right next door is located the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge.

The TV in the room was inoperable, but in their defense, I did not report it as I was not there to watch TV. The place was a bit dated and could use some general updating, but it does have a quaint historical feel that adds to its ambiance.

Cute old style hotel but showing its age. The room was large and fairly well equipped with a fridge we didn’t use. The porch is also roomy and private - a good base to watch activity on the water. Bed was surprisingly firm and comfortable. It served our purpose well, as an out of the way base to start our vacation and explore Crystal River a bit. I liked that it sits in a neighborhood on the water, so very peaceful. Since flight delays threw off our arrival, we didn’t get to rent kayaks and explore the springs but we could it see others snorkeling from our room. Also good variety of birds in the cove. We did get in a nice walk through neighborhoods and around the wildlife preserve, including an impressive Osprey nest on the utility pole out front!

It’s a bit of a step back in time: room keys with the number on it? Haven’t seen that in a while. The building has character and they do celebrate Elvis’s stay with an article in the lobby. But it would benefit from some upkeep and maintenance needs, inside and out. Machine coffee and packaged danish in the morning. A bit steep in price for what you get.

this hotel is all about location. it is right on the bay where you can take manatee viewing trips and hunt for scallops. it has a boat launch. it is a very old, dated property. you actually use a real key to open your room ! my room was very clean with plenty of towels, etc. it has a mini-refrig and a microwave. it h it has an outside door to a little patio. a major renovation is about to take place there, and I am betting they will build a whole new hotel. of course, then you probably wont be able to afford it !

parking is tight, rooms are dated, but clean. it is your typical Florida 1950’s hotel. take extension cord, outlets are sparse.

Location with it's own boat ramp was super convenient to launch our kayaks. An easy paddle on a kayak to 3 Sisters Springs. The view was beautiful. The onsite restaurant was great and overlooks the water. They have an information /manatee gift shop that was very helpful with suggestions and maps of Crystal River and Kings Bay. Where to go to for the best chance to see manatees. . There is also a manatee rescue and welcome center next door that we stumbled on to. Nice place to visit for more information about crystal river and the manatees.

They charge $5 per day to access the boat ramp (even for hotel guests). The free breakfast they offer is nothing more than a few pasties, coffee and juice. The rooms and the property, is somewhat out of date so if one is expecting 3+ star accomodations this is not the place. Facilities are clean and comfortable.

The view was amazing! The location central to all we wanted to do. We enjoyed the adjoining restaurant and bar. The shower had great hot water and water pressure.

We know the hotel is old but the carpets need replacing or cleaning. The bathroom sink handle leaked badly. One of the beds wasn’t on the frame which made sitting on it precarious.

The location on the bay, the restaurant and bar on site. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner even had our meal prepared even after the kitchen was close. Great customer service. We are going back! We also rented kayaks. The marina help was awesome too!

We liked everything! If there was one thing it would have been a drink vending machine. But we had a little frig in our room and got sodas the next day. Better planning on our part.

View was Fantastic . Staff friendly, Neighborhood offers most everything. Loved the small town feel. Small town motel, Pace was nice. * Too bad they plan on putting in a 5 story Modern replacement, YUCK!! there goes the neighborhood. They could keep the Small time feel by putting up a 3 story and a 2 story. Ya got the room. Plans can simply be changed. Please Dont put anymore people in the water, that is not an amusement location for money mongers. It is living nature, which helps sustains our life.

Proprietors haven't put money back into it. Facial fix helped, it felt cleaner. Safety was a concern with porch railings. Mold from no ceiling fan. *Word is ya plan on putting in a 5 story replacement, YUCK!! there goes the neighborhood. They could keep the Small time feel by putting up a 3 story and a 2 story. Please Dont put anymore people in the water, that is not an amusement. It is living nature, which helps sustains our life.

Great location with everything we needed right there on the property--place to dock our boat and trailer, great restaurant and tiki bar on the water with good service and food. Loved our balcony room with view of marina and bay area. All office staff was friendly and helpful when we needed information or help with TV not working. Plan to stay here again.

Had no negative issues except the rain everyday so we didn't get to see the awesome sunsets we were hoping to see.

I booked based on the location about an hour from the Blue Grotto and Devils Den Springs to dive, and the description of a balcony with a sunset view. There is also a restaurant/bar onsite. I then learned that snorkeling with manatees was possible here! The property, although older, was clean and comfortable. Loved the sunset view from our balcony! The Waterfront Social was busy with good food and drinks. Cannot beat this location adjacent to the Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge. The manatees were right there! Since the weather had been cold, they were in the warmer spring!

It is older and could use a facelift.
