Hampton Inn & Suites Tampa Ybor City Downtown

The staff was friendly, the building, facilities and rooms were clean and modern. I loved the shower doors. It's located within wleasy walking distance of the main streets of Ybor, so once you park at the hotel, no need to drive anywhere.

$18 a night for parking. Also, the hotel is next to the trolley station, amd they are constantly coming and going. If you get a room that's facing the station, the noise can be disruptive.

Excellent 3-night stay at this modern property. Check-in was easy, plenty of parking too. Our room was a spacious apartment-type room with a huge bed, kitchenette, and large shower room. Everything was spotless in the room and we had no issues whatsoever during our stay. The staff were professional and friendly whenever we dealt with them, the breakfast was OK, standard cereal, scrambled eggs, waffles, etc... Location wise, this place is right in the heart of Ybor so very close to most of the bars and restaurants nearby. We did stay on a Tuesday - Thursday though and found that a lot of the places were pretty quiet / closed most evenings. However, we were only a short uber away from the places we visited ( Armature works / Busch Gardens / Football / Baseball stadiums ) so the location for us was great. We really enjoyed Tampa as a city and would definitely return.

The pool area wasn't particularly clean and by the end of the day there were quite a few bugs/leaves etc floating around in the pool, could have done with someone just giving it a quick spruce up every now and again, but this didn't affect us enjoying the pool on a couple of occasions.

The staff were unbelievable! The room was so clean. Everyone one was so friendly. My partner is disabled and had a issue getting back up to our room from the parking garage because of intense pain and the night security gaurd (I believe that was his postion) helped me carry her back up to our room and made sure we got there safely. A unbelievable job.

It is a bit pricy. 300 for one night was a bit high in my opinion. But I understand since it's so close to downtown. The shower in our tub didn't work very well. (Room 218) the hand held nozzle had a leak and spray water out of the base of the handle which was a bit annoying.

The hotel was right in the middle of Ybor City. Great place, great food, would love to visit again in the future. Must have walked at least ten miles just around the old town area!

Originally I had booked a handicap accessible room for my Mother but since she didn't come down with us we were given a room at the very back of the hotel. Even if we had been in the handicap accessible room I believe my Mother would have had a hard time getting around. The sidewalks, streets and trolly tracks would have been difficult for her to navigate.

How surprisingly the rooms and hallways are after getting off the elevator. It was so clean and update. Could easily be a five star hotel. I would really stayed there again it was just for one night but i really liked it. Also they need to have black out curtains that works incase you want to sleep in late. The window decor is nice but the black out curtains for privacy do not closed

The entrance and lobby could have been updated better comparing to everything else. It looks like a motel upon entering so it does not gives you that feel of enthusiasm until you get of the elevator. I just think regardless how small it is, it can be improved on.

the location was the best, I was just a walking distance from everything I want it.

Ensure that the room clean was thorough, we found a cork on the floor and we did not drink champagne. Aside from that everything was amazing

my corner suite, the noise cancellation (couldn't hear anything), the front desk service was exceptional! The location was prime to our Ybor sites, the maps for Gasparilla were helpful, and my other guests who visited for my birthday (6 rooms total) thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The breakfast was great but the popular dishes weren't stocked (potatoes and meats) as often as needed. After a night out, we needed the hearty potatoes and protein. With many guests visiting for the city festivities, accommodating the crowd with portions is important.

room size was good and the facilities were excellent. room cleanliness was outstanding (apart from the carpet which had some staining which could easily be removed by a washvac). kitchenette and bathroom were spotless. view was limited but that wasn't a big deal. breakfasts were very good, tasty and a good selection of cereals and hot food.food and dining area were very clean. people on reception were very welcoming, knowledgeable and super helpful with information and suggestions for activities. hotel location was good as it is located on 7th st where most of the nightlife is, but it's at the top end which means you can decide how far you want to enter into the party!

thought the accomodation was a little overpriced but the onsite parking at $15 a night in a secure place offsets this so i was happy.

I was very disappointed that the continental breakfast was not as advertised. The room was the same rate with a red roof breakfast. The website didn't say anything about it being changed. This would have been a deal breaker for us, had I known I wouldn't have stayed there. Parking was also an issue. We had to pay for parking at a hotel that we were paying for a room. Also would have been a deal breaker. Again nothing on the website.....

parking costs $ 25, on the day of booking they called from and said that the reservation did not go through and they canceled the reservation, tied another card, saw confirmation on the site, but upon check-in they said that the reservation was canceled, but since there are free rooms, we were settled. It's a strange situation because the cancellation of the reservation did not come to me.
