Castle Waikiki Grand Hotel

The staff was wonderful. Helpful and fixed things we asked for correction on. We had parking hiccups but the staff was always helpful and fixed the concern right away. The location was great and my room had a wonderful view of Diamondhead and a peak of the beach. Hard to get both! Sheets, towels, beach chairs available as needed was great. Staff even helped us with a blow up matteress when needed.

We had 2 separate units. While they were the same price, they were quite differ by accommodations. one was clean and fresh. the other was not. at all. No need to go into tons of details but know as this property is individually owned properties which means some have hotel house keeping, some hire a cleaner on their own. it’s hard to know if the cleanliness issues is with the hotel staff or an outside cleaner. Just be aware. The 2 units we had were on different sides of the hotel, completely different layouts and sizes and even kitchen and bathroom amenities. As well as what the extra bed was significantly different in function and comfort. Again owners differ but it made for some tough parts of the stay with our family members with differing levels of comfort.

Uninhibited view of Diamond Head, plus being able to watch the sunset over the beach was magnificent. Loved looking out over the green space of the zoo. Also really appreciated the free awesome mineral sunscreen that lasted all day and keyless entry

The beds are not fixed to the bed head, and so sitting in bed to rest in the cool, after a full day day of activity, meant having to get up and push the bed back up to the wall and rescue the pillows drifting down to the floor

They were very nice and understanding of our inconvenience. The manager Roxy was very helpful and waved our late check out fee for us since my husbands flight left late this evening.

I didn't like that we didn't have a balcony when on the advertising said they had private balcony's. Also the kitchenette was a bit smaller than I thought and as advertised as well. They also didn't change out our towels. They said they would change them every two to three days. We were on quarantine until my husbands results came back negative and they never came to change towels. They also didn't check on us to see if we needed anything. Also we didn't know they were shutting off the water on Thursday until we went to the elevator.

The staff was very accommodating and listened to what I wanted. When I needed service, it was taken care of immediately. The location is a block away from the beach. Connections to bus routes are within a block.

I given an upgrade to an ocean view room with a balcony but it was located on the busy street and too noisy for me. They accommodated me and moved me to a room away from the street.

Everything at this property was more and better than we ever expected very cooperative understanding and responsive staff could not have asked for any better great place to stay very great location and easy access to everything we needed

Staff were friendly. Location is close to the beach. Parking and laundry facilities are available in the basement. Beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards are available for guest use for no additional charge. 10th floor patio is open for all guests to enjoy the view of Diamond Head and the beautiful sunset over the water.

Parking is $25/day and requires a permit issued by the hotel.

Loved the location especially the 10th deck where we went everyday to enjoy coffee and cocktails. Seeing Diamond Head unobstructive was breathtaking and sunsets.

We were in unit 800. Not sure who owns this but we had no cooking pots and very little silver ware. Our bed was a queen as requested but was resting on a double bed frame and not queen.frame It was quiet on that side so that saved the room. However, if we ever do this again we would choose a room on the 10th deck.

Roxy at the front desk was there when we checked in late on Wed 7-21-21 9pm. She was so nice and friendly. She had received my phone call earlier regarding confirmation and had everything in order when we arrived. So nice. The sundeck is absolutely scenic with a view of Waikiki and Diamond head! The people at the front desk were all very accomodating and nice.

The room was very small and not the cleanest and the TV/cable did not work (signal lost) after the 2nd day, but we didn't say anything as we were there only to sleep mostly. There was no blow dryer; however, the front desk was able to get one for me.

Excellent location, great views from the balcony and a very friendly place with everything you could need!

The balcony door broke and wasn't repaired before we left so we had 4 days where we couldn't utilise it.
