Park Shore Waikiki

We stayed in 3 rooms as a family of 6 and loved this hotel. The location is perfect, right across from the beach and away from the crowds further north. It has lovely staff and the decor in the rooms is basic but is clean and comfortable. It’s a really good value hotel and offers all the convenience and amenities you need for a great holiday in Waikiki. Free reef safe sunscreen and after sun lotion was a nice touch, and rental of beach equipment (included in the Resort Fee) is right next to the hotel from the Beach Candy store which we used and enjoyed. We recommend and would not hesitate to stay again.

Ice machines were only only a couple of floors so we had to make a bit of a trek if we wanted ice.

We got upgraded from a partial ocean view to a full ocean view, but we actually had a view of diamond head too!! Our view from the 11th floor was amazing!!! We sat out on the balcony every evening just taking it all in! The staff was so friendly and accommodating! No lines at all, very easy system for getting and returning towels. Free surfboard/paddle board rental! What more could you want?! Much better than our Hilton Hawaiian Village stay a few days earlier!!!

Down quiet end of Waikiki but so close to restaurants, takeaways, beach, bus, trolley. Towels and swim items available for free hire. Abc store out the side entrance. Free wifi. If u book through booking.com, there are no resort fees. Pool on site if u don't want to swim in beach. Had a jug delivered to me when I asked.

Could have done with a chair or two on balcony as I sat on a towel on the concrete.

The location was amazing! Central, close to EVERYTHING!! :) Everything was within walking distance and beautiful views! May, the front office staff, was awesome! And super helpful, even over the phone before my arrival. Also worth mentioning, we were on the 16th floor and the water pressure was awesome for both the shower and the toilet. Great to have hot water at all times. Did not run out. I only mention this because other hotels I stayed at in Waikiki have trouble with both water pressure as you get to the higher floors and hot water at certain times because of high usage....not this time! Amazing! :)

Only valet parking was available, which was super expensive!!! I rented a car for sightseeing around the island and did not have time to go looking for other cheaper parking options....the staff also were not helpful with this either. And kept saying they didn't know (??) This sucked because as locals they would know where there was cheaper parking but, of course, the hotel is making money off valet parking so....meh! The room was smaller than other Double Rooms I have stayed at in Waikiki + no microwave, hot water jug or coffee maker in the rooms. In the morning, there was only one coffee machine for the whole hotel (16+floors) located on the ground floor.

The Park Shore Waikiki is right across the street from the beach. Our ocean view room had an amazing view of the park next door, Diamond Head and the ocean. It felt like we were in a more remote location than downtown Waikiki, but you walked out the front door and were steps away from the restaurants and beachfront shopping. As part of the resort fee, three beach items are provided daily at Beach Candy (umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, etc.). This was very convenient. The bed was extremely comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet service was awesome.

The only downside would be the rust on the bathroom towel racks, which was likely a result of the fan in the bathroom not working. The resort and parking fees, including the inability to park our rental vehicle were costly, but are common throughout Waikiki.

The charming place and big room

We were in the third floor. The people who clean and maintenance team are extremely noise at 7 - 8 a.m. We are on holidays, and we would like yo sleep a little bit longer with no noise disturbing

Staff was very friendly and professional. Location was exceptional. High quality mattress and pillows. There were two restaurants on the property, a convenience store, as well as laundry service available. The property was well-located and within walking distance of everything in the Waikiki area.

Vanity sink had hair in it from a previous guest; room service is only offered every other day; there was a live roach in kitchenette sink; some neighbors smoking illegal substances on their balconies made it occasionally impossible to enjoy our balcony…the view was amazing…the marijuanas smoke wafting onto our balcony was not. We did not report this because it was impossible to accurately determine the source. We did note that there were “No smoking “ signs on our balcony…so I assume these signs were widely deployed. I didn’t like having to pay a “resort” fee or the additional $40+ per day for valet parking. These additional fees should have been included in the original booking price.

The location was exceptional and the ocean view room view was stunning. The facilities the hotel offers are good and the pool was never too busy which was lovely. Room and surrounds were generally clean. The onsite laundry and games room was a bonus.

We booked and paid for 4 people. The room only catered for 3 people each day. We had to ask for an additional chair. Each time house keeping changed the towels we had to request a fourth towel which became annoying over a 9 day stay. We also only ever received 2 coffee pods per day which is insufficient for 4 guests. We addressed the issue early on in the stay and it never resolved. Housekeeping need to be informed of the number of guests per room.

Excellent location. We had a corner room which gave us a view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. The staff was very helpful and the Valet parking service was good. They were all very courteous. Rooms had adequate electrical plug ins and USB ports for our devices.

Rooms could use remodeling upgrades. We had an outside entry room and the door was a bit warped and was letting in sunlight from the outside at the bottom of the door. Room service was not every other day like we were told by staff. We had to personally contact the front desk to tell them we needed room service and that we were missed. Sometimes Room service was incomplete and we had to contact the front desk for certain items that were not replenished. We paid a daily extra for our view and valet parking was a high. These 2 unexpected costs added almost $100 more a day x 14 days at the hotel.

location and friendly staff

the first room we were put in on level five was dark, damp and noisy due to the mechanical noises coming from the building below & next door. if you opened the door it was worse and it went on day and night. the tv & remote didn’t work properly either. Didn’t feel like we were in Hawaii at all. Asked if was possible to have another room. We were staying for 9 nights and it wasn’t cheap accommodation so this was very disappointing. After being told it wasn’t possible to move rooms they did shuffle things around and we were moved to a much nicer, quieter, brighter, dry room with a bit of a view of the beach and the tv worked as it should. Unfortunately we had to pay extra to have this room.
