Best Western Tyrolean Lodge

The Walk-in tiled shower was very good. Truly a view of the mountains. The room was clean but sparse. Good value though. Full breakfast is very well done with a variety of selections from one morning to the next. Definitely recommend it and will stay there next time in the area.

No table for playing games. Had to use a footstool. The biggy I think was the lack of a microwave. No way to heat anything. An unnecessary wardrobe took up much room that could have been used for counter space much more effectively. Would like to see a pod type of coffee maker. It would be nice to have some privacy dividers between rooms on the deck where folks can sit and enjoy the view from just outside of their rooms. It is currently just a long walkway with no chairs for sitting outside.

Breakfast was great. eggs, bacon/ sausage and a couple other things. some good seasonal fruit. toasts, muffins and generic waffles. it is similar to a hampton inn or holiday in express which are more expensive i believe. the room was a bit small , but clean. good showers. decent tv. good parking. good views. close to town center (few min walk), close to biking trails. they have ping pong and some games at the bottom floor. we didnt get to check out the pool also lots of awesome hiking in the area

The location was great. You could walk to lifts but it is a long walk. The breakfast was great and so much better than the norm. The breakfast area was actually nice to create some community and talk with other guests, great vibe. It was lovely to have an outside hot tub. Funky vibe.

The walk is a bit long to the lifts but there is a bus stop right outside. Parking was tight and worsened by level of shoveling.

The value just is not there. It's super outdated. Room smelled. Biggest pet peeve was I had a "do not disturb" sign on my door and the maid still knocked and screamed "housekeeping" on 2 separate occasions, but only 10 mins apart. I clearly hadn't checked out yet and was on a zoom call. Not a great arrangement for a business traveler. Definitely not worth $200!! Also, maybe come up with an alternative for your staff to smoke elsewhere vs right out front.

I appreciate that pets are allowed as not many hotels in Ketchum have the policy. Our room was very comfortable and our friends' room had a nice view of the ski area. Breakfast was wonderful. The homemade cookies are a bonus. And the lobby with business center very comfortable with the bonus fireplace. Staff treated us very well and looked to every need. I like the coffee offerings in the lobby too (in addition to room coffee/tea).

This is an older building with stairs only. While I currently don't mind stairs, my health may resist eventually.

Good breakfast, right outside the bus stop for free ski bus (last stop before the ski resort, so it was convenient). Nice hot tub. Comfortable bed.

The building is a bit old with thin walls so you'll need earplugs if you plan on sleeping in after 7-8 am when folks start getting ready for the mountain and walking around in ski boots.

The lodge really did remind us of Tyrol. The location was nice. The room with view we had reserved had a heating problem so we were moved to another room. The desk staff person discounted our room rate for the inconvenience which we appreciated. Excellent breakfast. The lobby area had a lot of board games. The fireplace was lit at night and people gathered their cozily, playing games and working on jigsaw puzzles. It was really nice. There is a euro style coffee machine in the sitting room which is nice.

The bed was not comfortable but we were there one night so we lived.

staff was excellent! Lounge area very homey. comfortable. NICE coffee machine.The breakfast outstanding. It snowed a lot overnight but management had the parking lot snow plowed in no time. Linens were cozy as well.

The hotel id a bit outdated. if the hotel had a “facelift” on the outside, remodel , update on the inside it would be BEYOND epic! The tile in the bathroom , entry was SUPER slippery.

This is a great hotel with wonderful amenities. Close enough to downtown that you can walk. Great pool and hot tub. We didn't use the game room, but it's nice that it's available. Also, the best breakfast we've ever had at a hotel. Lots of choices and friendly staff restocking everything. The views from the front of the hotel are amazing, this is our preferred place to stay when visiting Sun Valley.

The breakfast was good. The hot food (despite the powdered eggs) was good and there was oatmeal, bread, toast, and coffee/tea that was great. The fruit was a little old so I didn't bother to take any. The first day they ran out of yogurt. The employee who took care of the breakfast room was very attentive and was constantly cleaning the area. I also liked that they had cold cereal as an option.

I understand the new standard that rooms will not be made up every day of a guest's stay due to Covid/lack of employees. The frustration there is that we had lots of dirty towels/pool towels piled up in our room. There should be some sort of bin to deposit dirty towels at the end of the hall so that after a 3 day stay there aren't lots of towels left in the bathroom. I would think that there's a shortage of towels since they are not being laundered in a timely fashion.
