Comfort Suites Urbana Champaign, University Area

The location was right off the highway, very easy to find. Check in was very easy and the lady at the front desk was kind. Our room was very clean and spacious. Found out the pool and hot tub was 24hrs. Definitely will come again

The water pressure in the shower was kind of low. The chlorine in the pool was very heavy, couldn't stay in the pool area to long before my eyes began to burn. Breakfast was ok, just not enough variety for the price, could have had sausage, and bacon, but only hot food was eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and oatmeal.

Spa and pool area are open 24/7 so that was a treat! Parking is plentiful and free. The location was a little tricky because we ended up on the wrong side of that road but once we headed to the right side it was easy enough to find. It felt like we were maybe 10 or 15 minutes from the "downtown" ish area. Not much in walking distance over here but close by for a car or a lyft ride.

The hotel charged me some weird pending charges. I know that hotels charge pending fees, but they did more than I've seen from a hotel before. I was charged one night's rate before we arrived which posted to my account, then they took a pending charge of the entire reservation when I checked in plus about $50 or so more than what I was supposed to pay. then later about 2 days after checkout, that overcharge dropped and I was only charged the remainder for my stay. It was weird and confusing.

The staff were friendly and very helpful! I was so relieved because you never know how you will be treated at some hotels. I traveled with kids who were a little noisy at one point and the supervisor just knocked on my door and politely stated that they could here us down the hall. She was understanding and offered us another space for the kids to play a game in. I apologized and that need her for being understanding. Also, the pool is 24 hours! Hot breakfast! Next door to a gas station! Not too far from small shops and dining!

Our suite was very nicely furnished in modern colors and fabrics. Granite bathroom countertop, quite flush toilet, a safe to secure your belongings in, and a very comfortable bed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful too.

The breakfast was ok, the eggs were over done and I'm used to getting bacon or sausage, neither were offered. It would have been a good idea to share the breakfast menu on a card at check-in or in your room so you are aware of what is being served. I am not a fan of biscuits and gravy. Maybe someone at the door greeting us to explain the layout of each station as we walked in to the cafe/dining room would be helpful.so we knew where to find everything. It was so spread out that we had to get up several times before we could actually eat and our food got cold in the meantime.

I can’t say enough about the staff at this hotel. I was traveling with my three young children my niece and sister in law along with my dog. we were coming from Texas and ended up having car trouble the next morning that left us stranded. The manager on duty and front desk staff were so accommodating and understanding and let us even stay in our room until we could find a way back home to Michigan. the manager on duty found and even arranged a tow truck for me and a place for them to take it. they were seriously a heaven sent and I don’t think they will ever know how much I appreciate them and their help.

I have made the same request on 3 different stays about room location due to moms medical condition that has not been addressed.

The staff quickly resolved the issue (clogged sink). The room with disability access was great. Hot tub spa and the pool were great!

The smell and humidity in the rooms. The rooms never smelled fresh even though everything was clean.

The room was very spacious, and the bathroom neat and clean. I really appreciated how well-appointed the room was- coffee maker, mini fridge, AND microwave. I also appreciated Sunday's breakfast- sausage gravy with biscuits :) The staff was helpful and friendly, and I appreciated both the marketplace and their spare toiletries for it a guest forgot theirs.

I do wish there could have been more protein options at breakfast, notably on Saturday.

Breakfast was good. Seemed to have a variety of selections. We always enjoy eggs, bacon, cereal, juice, yogurt.

We stayed at a Comfort Inn in NE recently and they served a variety of toppings for their waffles that were delicious….strawberries, blueberries and apples in addition to regular syrup. It was an extravagance but I thoroughly enjoyed them!

Everything was great, very clean, spacious, comfortable beds. Great staff, very helpful with questions about local restaurants.
