Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Champaign North, IL

This is the most caring and kind hotel I stayed in. On the day I checked out, I mistakenly locked the car key in trunk. I rented it from Herz. I am Chinese and my English is not good. The front desk lady spent a lot of time helping me call Herz. As we all know, Herz's phone calls are difficult to get through, and she didn't tire of it and called for several hours. Later, the unlocking personnel sent by Herz were also unable to help me open the trunk of the car. She came to my car and tried to help me open it. Another man from the hotel, I suspect the boss, also tried to help me open it and called Toyota for help. I am so grateful to them. They are loved ones, and I will remember their help. I will still stay here next time I come to Champagne.

The room was comfortable. Check in was super easy. To our surprise they offered a complimentary dinner which was Taco bar, soup and salad. The water from the dispenser was so crisp and refreshing. Breakfast was the average fare. I do wish they would have had bacon or sausage. The staff was super friendly and very helpful

The hotel itself was very warm. I went to use the treadmill in the morning and it was so hot in the room I couldn't stay long. I did turn it down but it was taking a long time to cool down

It was clean and relatively quiet. They had a decent gym with a few cardio machines, a rack of dumbbells (up to 50lb), and a weight lifting machine that allowed you to do a multitude of exercises. The pool looked decent (I didn’t use it). They had coffee 24-7 and free cookies most of the day. There is also free parking. The hotel is a short driving distance from many different places to eat (sit down and fast food).

They are doing construction on the hotel’s dining area, so the included continental breakfast was a little sparse. I’m sure that will change when they are done. Also, the food they did offer was satisfactory.

The staff both nights were very helpful and friendly. Our first night the hotel was having computer issues yet check in was still a breeze. They are renovating the hotel, but we heard nothing from our room. The room was clean. Our 2nd night room had a nice deep tub, great for a soaking bath Breakfast was really good and fresh, in spite of renovating the breakfast area and having breakfast in the lobby. Great coffee too

They didn't supply dirty clothes bags, I know it's a little thing. They have taken out the hot tub, although the pool area is lovely. From the business side I understand taking a hot tub out. From the traveler's side, a long hot tub soak after a long travel day is going to be missed

The breakfast and the cost of stay were a good value.

I wouldn't say I liked that room service was not made available and was only an option after three nights. The room appears to have been remodeled or updated. The t.v. The stand in the bedroom had very substantial scratches/dents, and the living room chair had a large stain on the side. Check-in was fast, but I wasn't provided information on wifi and it was rare to see a front desk person at the actual desk.

Great location for a stop on my 2-day drive. Very large room - sitting room at entrance with sofa, then bathroom and then a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds. Looks like they have tried to update the rooms fairly recently. Hotel is clumped together with a number of other hotels and area is a bit sleepy, but some good food options nearby. Free breakfast was good. Overall a great value and plan to stay here again anytime I have to make the same drive.

Nothing to complain about - exceeded my expectations for the price I paid

The room, the breakfast and actually the whole facility was great. We’ve stayed here before on our travels and will certainly stay again. The check-out process was really nice; exceptionally friendly and professional woman. A plus to your organization.

Check-in was professional, hurried, cold. The young woman couldn’t seem to get the words/information out fast enough. It really did seem that while certainly not rude, she really just wanted out of her way. Hey, everybody has a bad day. This was not a deal breaker.

The hotel room was great! Everything was neat and clean. It just had two items that really annoyed me and was missing! The pillows on the bed were perfect. So I definitely would like to come back to this place. Hopefully, by then, they will provide me a microwave, as it is advertised.

They didn't have a microwave like it was advertised and no hand soap. I had to go out to the market and get me some.

The ladys in the breakfast area where awesome, they went above and beyond to help me with 5 yr daughter. They made her French toast when they where out and after I had made a mess with the waffle maker because I forgot to spray it. They cleaned it up for me and where so nice about it. They ladys at the desk gave my daughter cookies when they new that she was looking for one and they where not set out yet they just knew she wanted one and brought them to her Just the workers is what would bring me back to this place. As far as the room it was ok cleaned. I can't stand hair . And there was hair all over the floors and sink and shower . They need to clean better to get the hairs up that's really not something I want to see when I check into a room. The refrigerator never got to cold and my daughter has medication she has to keep cold. Other then this bed was cozy and we had a good teo day stay.

The room was spacious and clean. Great for a good night's sleep after a long day of traveling. I loved the suite style of the room; lots of space for the many bags I had.

Amenities in the room could be improved. The room had no complementary water bottles, no soap case, no handwash. Breakfast could also be better. They can add something more than just scrambled eggs and toast.
