Hampton Inn Decatur, Mt. Zion, IL

The breakfast was good. The location was great it was close to stores incase you needed something you forgot. The TV channels were good we found something to watch and the heated swimming pool and gym were really nice. The staff was really nice and the heating/air conditioning unit was great it kept the room on our temp. target. It was close to the lakeshore amphitheater where we saw Homefree. The 6 hour drive to the hotel and the concert was my wifes birthday gift. The drive and stay was worth it. Thanks to the staff for doing a great job like most places I know from experience only being staffed for so many people for jobs nothing's easy if someone's out.

Been nice if there was food at the motel at lunch and dinner.

The shower head was very high up on the wall and aimed to the far edge of the shower curtain! Water shooting out on the floor. I had to climb up on the edge of the tub to reach it to adjust it! 70 year old women shouldn’t have to be taking those chances! Then dry the floor. Cleaning people should be sure this doesn’t happen.

Bed was very comfortable. Large shower was wonderful. Breakfast was good. Service was great! Mike H. on the front desk is all about the comfort and enjoyment of the clients. He makes this hotel great! Thanks Mike, our dredlocked friend. We appreciate you and your strong work ethic. You made our vacation much more enjoyable and we thank you.

Wish we could have gotten housekeeping more than twice over a nine day stay.

Had a very good stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only improvement might be the quality of the breakfast. However it was certainly adequate. Overall we were pleased and I think this is one of the better hotels in this area.

The staff was all very friendly. From the man who checked us in to the woman who checked us out and everyone in between. Breakfast was good, and there was someone refilling trays and anything else frequently. The whole hotel was very clean, including the pool area and the fitness center. We will definitely stay here again when we’re in town.

The gentleman that fixed the issue. The breakfast is always good and fresh. Mostly my stays are always great.

There was a mix up about my check out date. One of the front desk attendants (white gentleman with dark black hair) did not follow directions about making sure I was not to be checked out. Caused bug confusion and I was charged extra. Issue was fixed Sunday Morning by a very nice gentleman (black gentleman with dreads) he deserves a raise!!

the staff at the front desk were great. the beds were comfy and the housekeeping staff was extraordinary. They asked me each day if i needed anything, Good people.

The night staff said there was a limit of people in each room for the pool. I gave my braclet to my granddaughter to swim with the other three. I did not get to swim with them. I would have accepted that , but in the morning, when the kids went swimming again, there were eight people in the pool plus my three. We came there so we could swim and have fun. i didn't get to do that.

breakfast foods ran out. no one came out to check. had no coffee either. had to enter kitchen to get assistance and ask front desk to assist

Location was perfect for my needs. The main part of the room seemed fine but the details and out of sight cleanliness was not done.

Price was a little high for the location. Cleanliness details were not great. I found debris and dead flies etc near the side/back of the refrigerator and a dirty tissue behind the trash can in the bathroom. Daily cleaning was not done. Thus I had to make my bed each day. I was on vacation! I wanted to be pampered.

How clean it was. And the fact that you had everything there for me ie soap, shampoo, lotion. That will be less things to bring next time. And the staff excellent. Made my stay even better. Thank you!!!
