Homewood Suites by Hilton Decatur-Forsyth

The room was spacious and full of amenities. The full use kitchen was more than we needed but had we been staying for more than a day, we would have utilized it more. The on-site breakfast was great (despite no bacon, BOO!) and we were able to fill up and then some before heading on our way.

The listing was confusing though, and I had expected a second 1/2 bath. This wasn't necessary for my enjoyment of the room, but it was a disappointment. The couch looked like a left-over from an adult film shoot. We draped an extra sheet from the set in the closet over the couch before we even considered sitting on it. The chair in the corner also had stains that couldn't be identified but might've contained enough DNA to start a cloning process.

Very, very clean rooms and general areas. There was a good variety of food for breakfast that tasted great. Helpful staff was available for extra towels etc. The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't get to use them but the pool, gym, social area, and basketball area were very well maintained. The area was very close to shopping areas if that was an interest.

Our only complaint is that we wanted to pay partially in cash and they said that it had to be on one card. We were referred to the posted policy but it said no checks (completely understand no checks). We did not see that cash could not be used on the website etc. Staff was nice about explaining the policy .

Pro: Great breakfast, great staff, large beds with comfy pillows, quiet room even though we were next to the parking lot, large room with a couch, desk, and kitchen

Con: The only thing is the room smelled a bit funny. Not sure exactly what it was, but it didn’t bother us much.

Awesome breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a variety and that oatmeal...just the way I liked it. It saves time trying to get up and find a place for breakfast in the morning.

There was nothing to not like about this place.

Breakfast was good.

Bed and pillows were too soft. The AC unit was too close to the bed and the deflector sent the air directly onto the bed. When it was running it was too cold and loud. The entire space was large, we had a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom but the sleeping area was small and therefore too close to the AC.

I used to travel for work, staying in hotels nearly every night. This was hands down the cleanest room I’ve ever stayed in. Everything felt and looked brand new. BONUS there was even a ceiling fan over the bed. The staff were amazing! Really nice, and willing to help. The breakfast was great (even in the midst of covid) they had a great selection and kept up on cleaning the tables if someone had eaten there. The location is right next to anywhere you would need to go. 100 out of 10 for this place. This will definitely be the only hotel we return to when going back to visit family.

I have zero cons.

The room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and quiet.

I was really pleased that the staff gave me another room because the room I initially booked had a lot of stains in the carpet. I really appreciated that.

The rooms were spacious for couples. And the breakfast was good if you like hotel breakfasts

The heater wouldn't stay on so it was a cold stay. Especially at night.

The hotel was so nice and clean ...our room was huge almost like an apartment...one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! Breakfast was amazing.

Check-in, the room, breakfast and the outdoor fireplace .. All were just perfect. The facilities and friendly staff at Homewood Suites have earned my loyalty Everytime I am in the Decatur area. Thank you! 😊
