Hampton Inn Decatur/Forsyth

Very clean, very comfortable, staff was pleasant and efficient (except for a continental breakfast).

Breakfast: we stayed on a Monday night. The food supply was nil. Coffee was cold and not fresh! Staff said that they were so busy over the weekend that they were out of food. Seems to me that it could have been replenished by Tuesday morning. Disappointed customer!!!

The property was clean. Staff was very friendly.

Biggest disappointment was the lack of TV stations. I’ve noticed in recent stays, the hotel industry has reduced their station options. I can only assume as a money saving move. But many have replaced TVs with smart TVs allowing guests to sign in and watch what they would like. This would be a good option to consider.

Have stayed there many times before. Staff was friendly, room was cleaned. Missed the traditional breakfast, but understand due to COVID and appreciate the effort made to provide a morning meal.

They did not have my Booking.com reservation! Could not be found anywhere! The gentleman who checked me in though, looked at my reservation on the my phone & matched the rate. Makes me a bit leery to use Booking.com in the future....

Breakfast included egg, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, milk, juice. Plenty of variety. Sink and mirror were not in the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable.

Pool chemical seemed a little irritating to the eyes.

Easy access off I72. Hotel is a little older, but generally good condition. Got a good online rate with short notice and late check in . Got a room upgrade, and enjoyed a nice room. One bed was quite squeaky, but comfortable. Had to cut our trip short by a day and Desk handled that process well. Reduced breakfast due to Covid was a little skiimpy. No Danish, jelly, and juice machine was broken but had juice cups.

Building is older so not as fresh looking as newer ones obviously. Did not see staff clean counters at checkin after people came and went.

The STAFF was outstanding - 6 employees are running the entire hotel, which had me baffled! They simply cannot hire people to work and are working to keep the hotel going on their own. Shame on the government for continuing these unemployment benefits and shame on the lazy people who would rather be lazy and not work. BRAVO to these hard working men and women who work night and day and don't complain. THEY ALL DESERVE LARGE RAISES!

Wonderful poofy pillows! Hot shower!

It was all adequate. Surprised about how worn and old the carpets seemed. Makes the place look tired, in need of an upgrade.

The Ladies at the front desk were very friendly and sweet.

Didnt realize that there wasnt a fridge or microwave in room Breakfast wasnt great but for free Im not really complaining

Bedding was comfy and room was clean. But clock was broken and there was no replacement available. And I guess I expected a microwave in the room.

Location was great, plenty of food choices right outside the parking lot. Short drive to Walmart, Target and other major stores. Staff was amazing, and the room was spotless.

I didn’t realize the room didn’t have a mini fridge or microwave in it when I booked it, thought that was pretty standard these days. But was not a deal breaker because everything else was phenomenal.
