La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Peru Starved Rock State Park

I have to say that the free breakfast actually surprised me at how GOOD it was!! Sausage links, baskets and gravy was amazing! Fresh waffles and juices and everything was very fresh!! Also, the pool and hot tub were awesome!!

The only thing that I can say that wasn't perfect was more towels in the pool area and more seating. There was only 1 table and 5 chairs. There's not alot of room in the pool area, but you could fit 1 more table at least and a few more chairs.

La Quinta is my favorite travel chain hotel since they are really the only hotels that allow dogs of any size I have a very well behaved Great Dane he never barks wouldn’t dare have an accident inside but yet most hotels only allow dogs up to 50 lbs which is hilarious because those are the dogs that bark the most and have accidents inside so I frequent La Quinta because of their no size restrictions and also this one was clean and the staff was wonderful pool and hot tub were a nice bonus as well

The beds would be my only complaint but they are fine they may need to be upgraded soon spring mattresses are not my favorite

The whole experience was very nice. The restaurant was top quality and good value for your money. I loved the swimming pool and hot tub! The room was very nice. I look forward to returning next year.

I can't say it was a dislike. By the time I thought of booking this trip, all the rooms were gone. I was gratful to get the one I did. It had 2 doubel beds. My son had one of the beds and my husband and I had the other doubel bed. We are used to sleeping in a quenn size bed, so it was not very comfortable but we managed for the nught we were there. I would definetly get a room with bigger beds next time because we enjoyed our trip very much.

The front staff were very friendly and accommodating. The suite and bedroom was clean and tidy.

The swimming pool was very cold! The stainless steel on the interior of the elevator could have used a good wipe down. The bathroom sink and toilet could have been cleaner.

Didn't eat the breakfast, nothing wrong with it, wife wanted to go to IHOP next door. Location was convenient and easy to find. Room was nicely appointed with a nice sized refrigerator and a microwave. Decor and fixtures were modern. Front desk staff were very helpful.

Toilet in the room got plugged up and wouldn't clear even after multiple flushes. No other problems or issues.

very friendly room service staff! Very clean rooms, breakfast was very good. hotel is overall very clean and well kept. amazing location with target just a 2min walk just have to walk the parking lot ! lots of parking! And DOG FRIENDLY! ❤️

It was well maintained, clean, very quiet and in a great location. Very close to restaurants and shopping.

The only thing I didn’t like was for some reason they ran out of eggs on the breakfast the second morning of our stay. Breakfast ends at 9 AM during the week and my wife went down at 7:30 AM and was told by the woman at the front desk there would be no more eggs that day and she didn’t know where her breakfast person was.

No breakfast due to Covid. The exterior of the building needs some u[grading, but the interior was good. The room was excellent. We enjoyed our stay.

The surroundings, including the parking lot looked run=down. New pavement would help. But you should install handles in your showers and put some anti-slip strips on the bottom of your tubs. Too dangerous especially for seniors.

The front desk was helpful but not very friendly when I needed something late that night.

I paid for a room with a sofa bed and we didn’t have one. Luckily, one of my sisters ended up not coming with us, so we didn’t really need it.

the hotel has been there a long time but well kept up and clean - the owners are there every day and it shows - very appreciative of their pet policy

nothing - some unfriendly guests - do your research on hotels regarding their pet policy if you don't like pets
