Comfort Inn Ottawa Starved Rock Area

All staff was very nice and very helpful friendly, complementary breakfast, coffee, tea, juices was a very nice not to fancy but nice breakfast selection. Nice touch having public washer/dryer loved the single kirieg coffee pot in the room. Pool was not available due to filter pump issues due to weather on Friday March 31st my flight for Sat. April 1st was canceled and rebooked for Sunday when I advised the front desk clerk advising I would extend my stay an additional day being advised there would not be any additional charge I felt this was top notch customer service from all employees during my stay great job. I am a smoker I do not smoke In my home would not smoke in yours other people were leaving the back door open with a rock do not feel was safe for other guests

Pros: The hot breakfast choices and entire breakfast selection were phenomenal! There were yogurt choices, cereals, fresh fruits, make-your-own waffles, a selection of juices, coffee bar, bagels, muffins, sausage links, pastries, etc. It was a highlight to each and every day of our stay. -The hot tub, pool/spa section were clean and very enjoyable, as well as relaxing. -There was ample clothing storage. -The grounds and interior were very clean.

Negatives: -The one and only laundry dryer was out of service. -The food & drink vending machines did not always deliver your product, but would charge you for them.

Friendly staff, GREAT location close to tons of cute bars and restaurants. Room and pool area were clean. There was an onsite Starbucks, bar and restaurant if you didn't want to venture out.

The parking garage was anxiety inducing! We have a truck and some areas have a 5ft 6 inch clearance. They should block off spaces on the top level for larger SUVs/trucks, it was a headache every time we had to leave and find a parking space again.

The room was set up well, kingbed was huge and extremely comfortable!!! Breakfast was delicious and satisfying. Staff was very well mannered, accommodating, cheerful and playful with my son☺️ definitely recommend staying here and we sure will again! Location was great too!

The pool was closed for construction/maintenance.

Hotel was very clean,room was clean you could smell the clean. Free breakfast was exceptional

The morning we left, I was hauling a trailer. Someone blocked myself and another guest who also had a trailer in. It took a while to track down the vehicles that were blocking us in, so they could move. During this process it was pointed out that a hotel employee had directed the people to park blocking us in.

Great location, breakfast was great! Rooms were very clean and it was a great price for last minute needing a room. The pool was closed for work and cleaning so I had some cranky kids but we made it!

Wonderful staff. After checking in and settling into our room we were a little unsettled by our loud/obnoxious neighbors, I went back down to front desk to see if they had any other rooms available in another part of the facility. The woman looked into it more and didn’t find anything available in the same room type, without question she upgraded us to another room type. She easily could have told me no, but didn’t. Then she followed up with me to ensure the room was “better”. Exceptional customer service and because of her I’d be willing to come back if ever in the area! Thanks for the stay!

The hot tub is currently shut down because of covid, which is understandable

Everything was great - except for the biscuits on the breakfast. They could have been used as hockey pucks - they were so hard. And they were out of 2% milk for cereal. Other than that this is a great place.
