Pear Tree Inn Terre Haute

Location was very good. Room amenities were as described. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. In particular, the older woman who greeted us & checked us in was so kind and gracious. She’s an excellent customer service representative! The Inn is right off the highway, yet it’s quiet, close to a wide variety of both popular chain restaurants & local ethnic restaurants, retail stores, grocery stores, natural food store, gas stations & the university campus.

Wr had requested daily room cleaning service for the length of our stay. On two days of our 5 day stay, the cleaning staff didn’t enter our room. So the bed wasn’t made, trash wasn’t emptied, towels weren’t replaced etc. As the trash bin is quite small, & we shopped each day, that was really annoying and unsightly when we would return to our room after being out all day & most of the evenings visiting family. Also, it would be nice if there were streaming channel networks available to watch on TV like Netflix, HBO, Disney+, Paramount, Prime.

Location was great! Bed was comfortable! Staff was friendly! Check in and out was easy! Parking was plentiful and well lit lot! Popcorn was a welcome snack and a first at a hotel :)

Breakfast was disappointing - waffles made were tasty but difficult spot to make them (too small) and only having one maker was problematic- waiting quite awhile for a turn to use it. Wish they offered a protein source as everything was a carbohydrate *bagel, muffin, toast, waffle, cereal* Fresh fruit was nice but eggs of some sort would've been nice! Nothing you can do about the next thing I didn't like but worth mentioning- traffic noise from highway. Also not sure if staff/guests are allowed to smoke up against the building but we could smell smoke on the 4th floor and we are non smokers.

This is the same place we stayed last year, and it wasn't that nice. We were not going to stay here again, but I read the map wrong and booked a room here. Well, in short, I'm glad I made the mistake, the turn around of this place in a year was amazing. The rooms were fresh and clean, the hallways were clean and air conditioned, the staff were right on point and polite, and to top it all off, it was so quiet for our stay. Outstanding place to stay, and the BBQ right next door is to die for.

This year there was nothing we didn't like. Last year was a different story, a complete opposite. Nothing was fresh or clean, the beds were dingy, the staff didn't seem to care, the halls were warm and dingy, It wasn't quiet, and the curtains were useless to try to keep the bright lights from outside out. We vowed to not stay here again, but do to my mistake, Pear Tree has now become a place we would recommend.

Front desk person was very welcoming. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. There was free popcorn in the lobby and breakfast was good, with a harried attendant who had a hard time keeping up with the demand for waffle batter. Vending and ice machines were easily accessed and there were other restaurants nearby, one of them, a pit-smoked BBQ place, was right next door as well as a Cracker Barrel within walking distance.

The breakfast room was small and oddly arranged. The waffle machine was not in the breakfast room, but across from the main desk. We were using Google maps and missed the entrance on our first pass off the highway, but that's not the motel's fault.

The room was clean don't get me wrong. Simple things such as toiletry supplies, cheap toilet paper, those type of things could be better. But the room was well kept, very clean. I was comfortable. This hotel was part of the Drury complex. There was a Drury multi-level Hotel on the other side of the parking lot from this specific building. This obviously was an older building that was purchased by Brewery. They cleaned it up, however, just not quite at a Direct Drury Hotel level. But I think over in that building the prices were much higher per night. So all things considered this was a nice stay.

Cheap toilet paper. Other toiletry items we're so so. All in all not too bad. Nothing was filthy, or disgusting, or even dirty. Kept up relatively nice.

The staff were friendly & efficient; common areas & the private room were clean; the lobby/dining area had ice-water & popcorn available; in-room amenities included microwave & fridge - these all made our stay comfortable, restful & positive. The bed & pillows were very comfortable and our hallway was wonderfully quiet.

Our room had a slight "stale" odor when we initially arrived; increasing AC helped clear that out. The elevator was a bit slow and stairs were not available. These are very minor things.

Liked the fact that this hotel offered clean and spacious rooms, with many electrical outlets and plenty of lighting. It didn't have extras like refrigerator, microwave, pool or fancy breakfast, but the lobby and hallways were well appointed, and sparkling.

Couldn't get hot water that night at the sink, but tub/shower worked just fine.

While we are traveling, we just need a clean, secure place to sleep at a good price. Pear Tree Inn delivers that. We like being able to grab a quick bite to eat before continuing our journey. Love that they have breakfast included in the price. We also appreciate the friendly staff as we check in and check out.

Nothing stands out.

Right off highway....perfect for interstate highway traveling. Staff was excellent and room/facility was clean Liked wall thermostat vs. control on ac unit. Breakfast was minimal (no eggs, not even hardboiled) but OK.

Room was occasionally a little noisy with pipe or mechanical noises outside the room (or in the walls). Couldn't park car directly outside window....just the way the room was configured within the structure.

Easy to find. Near a lot of places. wasn’t far from good food, the mall and most things to do in Terre Haute

the bed was a little bit uncomfortable, not the worst place to sleep. my room didn’t stay very warm but honestly I was kinda of okay with that could use better blankets though.
