Breakfast had a nice variety qnd the cleanliness was amazing. I was pleased with the staff and quick check-in. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
The hallway noise was more than typical hotels. We put a towel under the door the block the sound so we could sleep. There was also more interstate noise than what I expected because we weren't right next to that. The pool is very small, but it does have nice hottub.

The amazing staff. The moment I walked in I was greeted by Candie. Professional, kind, made everything quick, and easy. I was there for 6 days. I got to know Jeff the manager, Tom the other manger. And another wonderful Blonde woman. The rooms were extremely clean and quiet. They have top notch shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The beds are super comfortable. They have a really nice large gym. I will only stay at Fairfield Marriott’s for every trip I ever go on. I was having the trip from hell and these folks made my life so much easier and more livable. I’m extremely grateful to this whole staff. Thank you Fairfield Marriott in Altoona, Iowa.

This is the only place I will stay when I come to Iowa. I usually have to clean the rooms that I have stayed in previously this place is the exception to the rule. It is impeccably clean the staff is professional and friendly I love this hotel it’s perfect, and I am a smoker and this place is non smoking and I don’t even care!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Breakfast was warm and fresh good size sausage patties. Hotel location excellent walking distance to the Des Moines Outlets. Best comfortable mattress and pillows I've experienced from any hotel. Outstanding staff for maintaining great cleanliness throughout the hotel.

No soap in the Executive King Suite, had to use body wash from the shower and even then it was almost finished. Breakfast options were nice and complimentary, but the sausages were still icy and covered in fats and not oils. No major issues beyond those.

Everything was perfect. Clean, well kept rooms, lobby and pool/workout area. Our check in employee was Michelle. She was super nice and helpful.
The pool was too cold to enjoy at all. Even the kids in there didn’t stay long at all. Due to covid breakfast was grab and go fruit, yogurt and cereal bars or packaged muffins. Something warm would have been nice.

Staff was very pleasant. We only stayed for a night but the room was clean. It was perfect just for the two of us!
I thought there was going to be a full breakfast. Idk with COVID if they weren’t doing that but breakfast choices could have been better!
