Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Des Moines West, IA

Breakfast was really good, there was enough variety to have something different each day. The waffle machine was up everyday and they had chocolate soy milk! The room was spacious enough for the 4 of us. The room was clean. The pool and hot tub were nice and big. We were close to restaurants and shopping centers.

There was a leak in the window. It looked like is was patched up before and it did not hold. It rained on our 4th day there and the rain came in and wet things. There was not enough linen for the pull out bed and the mattress for it was really thin. The pool had way too much chlorine.

The room was spacious and very quiet even with the interstate close by. Breakfast was good with several hot choices and the cookies in the evening are always good. The chemical level in the pool and hot tub were great based on our eyes not burning the second we walked in and being able to stay in the hot tub for a while. Also, plenty of towels and it was overall clean. So many great things that the things that weren't so desirable could be worked around. Great pkace

The sheets were like one of those old scratchy blankets from grandma's or the kind the military hands out. The mattress was less than but not completely uncomfortable. The bathroom vanity area was wonky and offered no real space to hold things. The extra area in the king-size suite was an actual area, which was nice, but the couch and chair were not at all comfortable for sitting and watching TV.

The king suite is a huge room with a comfy bed and living room area. The sofa bed is only as comfortable as any sofa bed (not very) but the king bed and the couch and chairs were very comfy. Lovely real breakfast includes all the usuals like toast, waffles, cold cereal and muffins, and also had scrambled eggs, link sausage and YUMMY breakfast potatoes. They have coffee in the lobby until late in the day - coffee is mediocre. VERY friendly staff were so helpful! We forgot our toothbrushes and they gave us free ones. They have soda for $1/can in the lobby along with a variety of other snacks and essentials for sale. The pool is amazing and open from 5am to midnight!

Weekend price is double the weeknight rate. I guess that's common?

Great location. Quiet and right off the interstate with restaurants in walking distance. Coffee in the lobby, and it was good coffee. Fresh baked cookies. Great breakfast. My granddaughter wanted goggles to swim with and we couldn’t find any at the store and the lady that worked the desk that evening found some for us. everyone was nice.

Nothing really. Could use more pillows on the bed, I normally bring mine but didn’t this time.

The staff was amazing! We had a bit of trouble with keys and the night manager came to our room twice to resolve it and moved our room when the lock kept failing. She went out of her way to take care of us and asked how our stay was going each time we saw her. The food in the breakfast bar was great; the room exceeded our expectations and was very comfortable.

Nothing - it was great. There was plenty of grass to walk our dogs, the pool was great and the staff was friendly.

We stayed in a king suite. The shower had a dual head and the bath tub was a great size. Really a lot of room for not that much money. The breakfast was good with the standard continental options. We just really enjoyed the room, and it was special. The nearby Northern Lights Pizza was good also.

The bed was a little bouncy and it was possible to have the smoke detector start beeping due to humidity from the shower when leaving the door to the bathroom open. These were just minor issues that didn't cause any problems.

Millie (spelling?)the front desk staff was very inviting and patient with our questions. Other staff we encontered were nice as well. I work in hospitality and would hire her in a heartbeat. Rooms were comfy with nice updated bathrooms, nice pool and spa area.

We came to breakfast at 830am, Some of hot food seemed old like had been sitting. Would make smaller batches so it's fresh rather then having all that food sit for the whole time.

The hotel was very comfortable and quiet, and a nice setting. The breakfast was good with lots of options. The size of our king room was much larger than hotels with comparable prices or ratings.

I spent more on a hotel with a pool and hot tub. Unfortunately, the pool water was extremely cold, and the hot tub was so hot that after only 5 minutes my heart beat started messing up and I got dizzy and didn't feel well the rest of the day. Never had issues with my heart before.

Good breakfast, overall good value, nice room.

Pet fee high $50

Easy to find, lots of restaurants in walking distance and down the street. Great parking area which was well lit and safe. Off a major Interstate I had to jump on the next day.

I let them know I travel with a 10 pound, well behaved poodle mix (non-shedding). I was given the “Dog” room, at the end of the hall, furniture a little worn at the bottoms from dogs, and, they charge an extra $50 when I had received a reply after I let them know I would have my Magnolia with me they stated “we can accommodate you with that and there will be no additional charge”. I was charged.
