Very friendly and peaceful. The place so just so beautiful. Food absolutely amazing. Just outstanding.

It was a little difficult to get the temperature changed in the room, there was a thermostat but no matter how low we set it, the room was still very warm. It's good their heater works amazing for the winter but it was a little to warm for me.

I was passing through for work, coming out of Chicago and was lucky enough to book this gem of a place! The hosts are so welcoming and attentive. The room was very clean and cozy, the fire place had it toasty within 5 minutes and they even bring you breakfast in the morning if you request it(and it was delicious!)! That was new to me, it was awesome lol I didn’t think there was much in Iowa, but if I ever have the option to come back here, I’m doing it!

Nice quality but no variety. Would be better to give a couple of choices as everyone has different diets and health issues they may not want to explain. Food a bit too sugary and heavy.

Just a bit more variety in breakfast choices. It is understood it is not a full restaurant but no choices allowed which seemed rigid.

Absolutely impeccable hotel/inn with a lovely included morning breakfast and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend for a vacation or weekend staycation- close to activities, yet you could just enjoy the inn itself- it has everything you need. A relaxing and charming place all the way around. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was homemade in the best sense and fabulous. A must-have in a hotel is a good extra clean place, with extras for us. But we travel with our dog and that was another must-have. Because we have a dog, many hotels we book put us in rooms with beat up furniture, smell bad and have no extras. I never go back. The Oakwood Inn is the best hotel I have stayed in with my dog. The breakfast was amazing and the Innkeepers, Bridget and Bill were wonderful. I will be staying with Oakwood again. I highly recommend the Oakwood Inn Bread and Breakfast.

The rooms were nice and extra clean (which I must have). They have basic bathrooms and spa bath in the bedroom, which I find a tad bit out dated.

It was very pleasant. The bubbling brook feature was very relaxing as well as the shady back area. The owners were very helpful and pleasant! We enjoyed being able to go outside via our private room door.

We were happy to have a jacuzzi in our room, but we should have asked sooner how it worked. It was difficult to know how to operate.

I would like to thank Bridget and Bill for there wonderful hospitality. Bridget your breakfasts were delicious, unfortunately now my husband expects me to cook like that lol. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our favorite part was the gardens. We spent alot of time sitting and relaxing and watching the 🦌 deer. When we come back we will not stay anywhere else but here. Thank you again

The only thing that could have been better would have been free massages. 😆🤣

Beautiful garden areas and so nice to be able to relax right outside of our room on its own patio. Breakfasts were delightful- a nice variety and the eggs benedict was especially tasty. Our room was large and spacious with a comfortable bed- we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in a first floor room and the room temp was a bit cold for us even though daytime temps were in the mid- 90’s. We turned on the gas fireplace and were able to keep the temp at about 75 degrees 😎

What a cute bed and breakfast! Comfy, clean and quiet rooms, delicious breakfast, friendly staff. Great location, close to everything fun to do. Definitely will be staying here again! The view from the balcony is great, the grounds are kept very neat and tidy. Every morning there is a wonderful three course meal. We have been here four days so far, and haven't had anything that wasn't delicious. I only wish I could stay longer!!!

The Inn is well kept with excellent landscaping. It is immediately adjacent to the excellent bike trails in the area. The rooms are comfortable with convenient coffee stations. The breakfasts were varied, well made and a highlight.
