Super 8 by Wyndham Spirit Lake/Okoboji

New manager was AWESOME!! First room was not acceptable and smelled musty and she immediately found us a much better room. She was exceptional and we have NEVER had a manager or staff treat us as well as she did. We are in are 70's and she made sure our room was on the 1st floor (as I walk with a cane) and was what we needed. She said she had just taken the position, very recently, and was working on getting things in order. We wish her the best in her new position.

The other comment to make is the smokers did not use the outside ashtray and there was alot of butts and some trash on the outside of the back entrance. The first room she took us to was very musty smelling and possibly needed a new air conditioner to take care of that.

breakfast was ok every morning. coffee in good supply. i was at Spirit Lake for a Sidecar Rally at Gull Point State park.

even though we needed the rain, Mother Nature did her thing. Also, the smoke from Canada wildfires was not helpful. Not that Okoboji area that could do anything about it. I still was able to take several rides around all the lakes in the area. Yes, I will visit again.

breakfast was good. filling, wholesome. Rooms clean and quiet. Restaurants within a few blocks of walking distance.

Mother Nature non-co-operation. Rain overnight, but we always need some rain. Smoke from Canada forest fires made for hazy viewing.

My friend and I were very pleased with our stay! Desk people were very friendly and accommodating when we had asked for anything!

The shower pressure wasn’t good, but the desk manager explained it was because a water main had broken nearby because of the cold temps. We also had a sink stopper that didn’t work. The desk manager said he’d put that on the repair list.

It was in the perfect location to Walmart and a couple places to eat so instead of having to spend money in gas to drive somewhere to get something to eat I could just walk over to Burger King and get something to eat or Walmart.

Only thing was the price was a little high but to be expected where the location was. And the outdoor fire pit wasn't working which wasn't staff's fault. At least it was explained to us why it wasn't working.

Staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable! Nice bathroom for the size of the room. Overall we were very happy with our experience during our stay.

Room was a bit small for my liking, but we weren't picky when it was the last room available in the area. Very busy wedding weekend, which was not at all the hotel's fault.

Asked for late checkout. Was accommodated without hesitation.

Loud upstairs people, alot of what sounded like running and banging. House keeping at 950am knocking on door.

Comfortable rooms. Nothing fancy but what we needed for the night. Breakfast was typical for the hotel chain.

Our room was extremely small but we were ok with it.

The bathroom was VERY clean. That is what I measure everything by and it was exceptionally nice. The breakfast was good too. Love those biscuits and gravy.

Thé breakfast was what I thought it would be for a motel.

Some hot bacon or sausage would’ve been nice for breakfast. There was no decaf coffee available.
