Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Alexandria

Mattresses were comfy. Room was well amenitied. Breakfast was great.

Only problem was trying to get the room phone to work when trying to call the desk with a question. Called the outside number -No one answered. Gave up

It was convenient to the service location that we traveled from.

It seemed understaffed. They ran out of breakfast before 10a and did not refill the food! We checked in late and when we arrived to the room it was stuffy and the a/c was not on! The room had a mild odor that disappeared when we turned on the a/c. There was no extra cover in the room and the comforter on the bed was too short for the beds! The lighting in the room was not enough to help with applying makeup!

I enjoyed my stay very much, perfect location, friendly staff. Emily at the front desk was very friendly, very helpful and very accommodating.

The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. I also stay at another local hotel on occasion when i am in town and they have a full buffet. If I did not get down before 830 or 9 to eat, there was very little left. And by monday, there was nothing left except cereal and a few bagels. Also, on Saturday night there was a boys baseball team in the pool horse playing and playing so rough, my grandkids couldn't even get in.

The beds were SO SOFT..

I was not made aware of the extra charge to my card until I was charged. I was told one rate and charge another.

Nice location, sitting area very clean, very nice atmosphere.

Well, the coffee pots were empty when I came down around 0800 for breakfast. there were no pastries counters were pretty dirty, cream and sugar was everywhere. We another guest was waiting for the other container of coffee, maybe she didn't fill it up enough. She was nice the Hotel Clerk, I am not sure where the attendants for the breakfast area was.

The property was clean and well kept. Each staff member made us feel welcome and took care of requests that we had.

I checked in expecting to pay the amount on my reservation, however they never said anything about charging a $20 per day incidental charge, not even when I checked in. I only discovered it after looking at my bank transactions after I got in my room. I called the front desk and questioned the amount and was told. It would not deter me from staying again, but they need to say this upfront.

There wasn't much of a chose at breakfast, and some of the items weren't appealing. Hotel was very nice

Need to change the bottom of shower. the bottom was pealing and cracking. Also, when someone used the water in another room, you could hear it slowly trickling in the wall in room 106

the front desk clerk at the time of check in was extremely friendly and helpful I believe her name is Jessica and every employee I ran into was extremely polite and friendly

There was no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom bottles and very little shower gel, thankfully I had all that in my travel bag

I liked the variety and quality of the breakfast, with good protein and healthy options. The room was comfortable and roomy, with well-placed electrical outlets.

Our room wasn’t serviced, and we had to request toilet paper.

Nice, clean hotel but we were given 1 set of towels for 2 people and no hand soap for the bathroom sink. When we requested towels & soap, night clerk said she had locked herself out of storage area and couldn’t help us. Eventually got towels from the pool. Breakfast is minimal but, yes, I would stay there again.
