Baymont by Wyndham Beulah

The hotel was quiet and well maintained, staffed. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. The breakfast was good/adequate. I would say the star of the hotel are the employees. Everyone we met, from hotel reservations to the person wrapping up the breakfast bar, were super friendly and helpful. You definitely have some great employees!

The location was unfortunate. Seemed like there were only pizza places nearby to eat, which is okay if you aren't a foodie. We are, so that was disappointing. We were only there for a night, though, so not really a big deal. Naybe if they could open a restaurant or grill there...

The grandchildren really enjoyed the pool especially that they could use their floats. It was a nice size pool. We also enjoyed the breakfast each morning, but since we were there for 5 mornings it would have been nice to have had more than 2 different hot selections every other day. When we told them about the vent not working in the bathroom they fixed it right away. The dogs had a large area to stretch their legs outside. It was great that they accepted dogs.

The night light in the bathroom didn't work and it wasn't able to be fixed and where there use to be a cloths line in the tub, it was missing and it would have been nice to have that after swimming. I also found a pair of socks under the AC that wasn't ours.

Everything was awesome at the hotel... we enjoyed our stay and the staff was great.

When compared to the many hotels we stayed, this hotel was almost 50% more, one of the highest during our trip, which given the location, made this a little hard to feel we got a good deal, especially when we stayed at other hotels on the water or with beautiful views of the water and mountains for about a hundred dollars less, plus they were within all the attractions and food. We loved the hotel and staff, could not ask for better, just the location was a bit out of the way.

This is a lovely hotel. The front desk is courteous and accommodating. In general, the hotel and rooms were immaculate and updated with nice ambiance. The breakfast was wonderful with many items to choose from and the hot items were delicious!! The dining area was spacious and did not make you feel as though you were in a cafeteria. The only small draw back was that if you were staying for a couple of days you did not have housekeeping come in everyday to tidy up. However, if you wanted fresh towels or other items you could go to the front desk and they would give them to you. The value of the room fee was truly affordable and well worth it!! We totally enjoyed our time here and would definitely return for any length of time. Highly recommend!!!

The room was clean, a good size and with a modern and pleasant aesthetic. We were pleasantly surprised! The hotel was a decent size with nice amenities. The location was good and in a safe area. There was ample parking and free. There were restaurants down the road. Sleeping Bear Dunes was very close, as well as many nearby lakes. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated (modern decor). The complimentary breakfast included omelets, pancakes, sausage, bacon, yogurt, cold cereal, coffee, and juice; it was good. The bathroom was clean and a good size. There were plenty of towels, The bathroom was a very good size (and modern); it included very nice toiletries (i.e. shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soaps) and a hairdryer. The tub/shower was a very good size and pleasant (very clean). The room included a 40+ inch TV screen. There was a mini-fridge, a microwave, an ironing board/iron, and a single-cup coffee maker in the room. The room also had an AC.

There was a chemical cleaner smell in the room that was rather pungent.

Clean, comfortable, closest “commercial” hotel available near Crystal Mountain. Would book again! Lobby area was nice to gather at night, (group of 6) breakfast was decent and gentleman working the breakfast bar was on top of it!

ROOM WAS HOT! We turned heat off for our entire stay and opened the window several times through. (Crazy on a 20 degree January night)

Breakfast was wonderful and had a nice variety of food. Pancake maker was cool. I appreciated the gloves provided for handling food/ utensils, but observed very few using them.

Balcony or patio outside the room

Rooms appeared clean. Mini fridge and microwave were also clean and worked well. Beds were comfortable (2-queen room), pool and hot tub were also open and the family greatly enjoyed them. Front desk staff was polite and accommodating.

Found some hair in the shower, room was quite small - not much space for ski gear and luggage, or eating since we had to get take out (restaurants closed for in-person dining and no room service due to COVID). Grab and Go breakfast was ok, but choices limited to high sugar cereals, pastries, and juice. They did have a coffee machine and some apples as well. On our 2nd day, the breakfast was very picked over and the milk was gone even though it was only 8:30 am. The desk clerk said he would look for more, but we had to leave and couldn't wait.

The breakfast was okay. The staff was excellent especially Gayle. She gave us directions and short cuts that only a locals know about. And everyone else was wonderful as well.

The smell on the elevator needed a little more attention. It smelled old and musty.

Variety of warm foods for breakfast. Great breakfast bar. Comfortable room. Nice size bathroom. Well mantained entrance and grounds. Curtious staff that was always available for questions. Easy access to Crystal Lake, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and more.

We can't think of any thing that needs improvement. Possibly filled waterbottles to go? We enjoyed the time and liked everything about the hotel.
