The morning breakfast was appreciated and very complete. The staff was so friendly. Check in was well handled. My son and his fiancée had an adjoining room.

If I had been alone, I would have requested a room on the first floor as I have difficulty with steps. Also, I don't know if there was an option for handrails in the shower/bathtub but probably should have inquired. Also, I wouldn't recommend the Cafe, which I believe is a separate entity, as it felt very unfriendly with a limited menu for breakfast. We had wanted to try the Cafe one morning during our visit- mistake.

beautiful old homes, lighted on-site parking for a small fee, comfortable bed, great breakfast with a generous timeframe. super friendly & helpful staff, overall a very clean room and breakfast area.

Overall very clean but a couple major cobwebs in the corner of our bedroom and in the bathroom. The ceilings are very high, but it would be better to not have cobwebs! Also, the first night was very calm & quiet but the second night someone ran up & down the stairs, slammed doors, and were up all hours walking around above us. Then decided to play the piano in the main room at a little after 9am on a Sunday. Not really a major issue or anything the property could have done, but it wrecked our visit a little

Lovely period property in mid town with Q line tram nearby straight into downtown. Located in the cultural center which is nice residential neighborhood. Stayed in the Carriage House which is like a 2 bed apartment with a reasonable sitting room attached. Lovely period features and decor all round. Staff friendly and helpful. Makes a refreshing change from the Holiday Inn type standard corporate offerings and made out trip memorable in a way the alternatives would not.

Not much really. A kettle in the room for boiling water for coffee would have topped it off. Figured out how to turn off air con in the end by setting the on temperature higher than room temperature.

Loved my room, breakfast was very good and appreciated. The living room was pleasant. My son and his fiancée had an adjoining room which was great because I needed help with my luggage. Location was convenient as I was involved in a WSU campus event.

Didn't realize until the next morning, there was a space heater in the room. The a/c/heat were inoperable and the temperature in my room got down to 68 degrees which was colder than I liked. My son adjusted the heater and the next nights were much more comfortable.

The hotel was nice and comfortable in terms of cleanliness, location and comfort of the rooms and beds.

It was stated that a "nice" breakfast was included however the food provided was very poor (for example no bread, no cheese or very little cream cheese and no alternatives) and often lacking in comparison to number of guests. On our last day we were told that the breakfast has finished as other guests came first and the hotel had no obligation to provide us with food as it was a "complementary" service (which was not stated on the website). Also, an important reason for choosing this property was the shuttle bus but it was unavailable during the length of our stay.

A beautiful building in the quiet university area. The hotel had free water and coffee all day. It is not close to the centre of Detroit but the centre is easily accessible by public transport. Breakfast was good but not very varied.

We had 2 really nice rooms with a balcony. I found it difficult to sleep as the garden lights were on all night and the blinds didn't darken the room sufficiently.

This Inn was exactly what I was hoping for when I booked--and more. The staff, including Trinity, were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They answered my questions quickly. We were especially happy to be able to leave our car parked for several hours after room check out as we were visiting an attraction within walking distance. I felt special staying in our room/in our building (Owen House). The continental breakfast was adequate and in keeping with the reasonable room rate.

Breakfast was delicious and enough choices. Room comfotable. Parking was easily accessible. Also the location was accessible to major roads making it easy to travel to local tourist areas. All staff very cordial and accomodating.

Only problem was the stairs to drag our luggage up and down. I would also suggest more hooks in the bath area and behind doors to hang travel items.

Very comfortable and pleasant, antique without being the slightest bit musty, exceptionally friendly staff.

I felt like the breakfast was a little too starchy and the eggs were cold - some variation would have been nice. But it was great that it was offered at all! A mini fridge would have also been nice. Next time I would choose a downtown location.

Tremendous interior. Very cozy room in a140 years old house.

1. Cold fluids from the window right near my head 2. Shower steam was very narrow, you have to extensively turn your body to wash the soap. And our was chilly in the bathroom, so one half of your body is cold while another of hot from the water
