La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oxford

The lobby was spacious with plenty of separate seating options. plenty of parking. easy entry exit from the frontage road; also a benefit of no traffic noise. Pool area was relaxing. coffee and cookies were good. breakfast selections included a waffle maker. I appreciated the text messaging for communicating with front desk staff.

would have preferred additional room lighting and a hold bar in the tub/shower condo for ease of exiting the tub. I thought all rooms were suites. I should have verified as this was my first stay at a La Quinta.

I was able to check in a little early

the bed was starting to show signs of being worn . the refrigerator and microwave and located directly behind the bathroom door making it a little awkward . Both should be more in the living area . Price was a little too high for a weekly rate . The Hampton would be considered a 4 star Hotel is much cheaper and In a better location compared to a 2 star LaQuinta. Way overpriced for that area .

newer, clean, friendly, charging stations

only 1 staff member knew that chargers were operational (Michelle, she’s excellent!). 2 staff members, while very nice, did not know that chargers even worked or how to use them. disappointed that charger would click off after about an hour or less. we expected to be able to fully charge overnight so that we had a fully charged battery in the morning. This is especially important in Oxford, MS which is quite far from any Tesla superchargers.

Easy access to desired locations. Clean. Decent breakfast.

We had to go to the counter multiple times in less than the 20 hours we were there. Had it not been that one of us was in the room at all times resting, we wouldn't have been able to get into the room part the initial entrance. From the first time in our room, the key cards did not work.

Staff was remarkable. AJ manager and Alison, took really good care of family after a 10 hour drive to hotel. They texted us while on the road to check in on how the drive was and were happy to assist us with anything additional with our stay at the hotel. Having warm homemade cookies and hot breakfasts made our stay more welcoming. Thank you for the extra efforts for making us feel as if we were home away from home!

The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The king size bed was comfy and the air worked great. The breakfast was bagged up and we picked it up the evening before making for a decent breakfast in bed. Overall, very satisfied with quality and price.

The staff member we dealt with at check in was very courteous, cheerful amd helpful. We had been given a room on the third floor but when she saw we had a dog she offered to get us a room on the first floor, which we accepted. The room was spotless and roomy and the bed and pillows very comfortable. We were happy that a full breakfast bar was offered, the first we've seen in a hotel since covid started, and it was good, offering substantial items like eggs and sausage.

It's a bit of a circuitous route to get to the hotel, but not a big issue, and it's in a good location off a main highway for travel to Oxford or other nearby towns. Also, the light in the room is a bit unbalanced, being concentrated on one side of the room, so it's dark on the side with the desk and TV.

Allison at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a close drive to the center of Oxford. The property looked as if it was newly renovated with nice common area.

Only complaint, the alarm clock on the room next door went off and dud not stop until it timed out. Certainly not the hotel's fault if someone won't wake up, but could be worth checking to make sure your alarm is not set to go off.

We prefer graduate or chancellor house, but on game weekends if you can get them before they sell out it’s astronomical - This was a clean and very practical hotel. Staff was amazing! Staff was far greater than the expensive hotels. really do not hesitate. 3 m uber to square or 15 m walk. that said your next to first watch (breakfast), uno mas (mexican) amd lamar Yard - super in outdoor venue.

prefer to be in square and more luxury - but game weekends - this is the place and 1/4 price!

Great location. Very clean facilities. Your whole staff was very friendly and attentive. There was an exceptional young man there. I didn't get his name but he's a young African American. He was awesome and always happy. Happy employees mean good management. Keep up it up.
