Drury Inn & Suites Kansas City Airport

We came to Kansas City on a family vacation to visit Worlds of Fun, the many other museums/family friendly attractions, and the KC BBQ scene. We didn’t want to pay top dollar for a 5 star hotel but certainly felt like we got one. Drury was in the mid range of prices for hotels in the Kansas City area and we felt like it exceeded our expectations and was a great value. It was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful. The kids swam multiple times. The pool area is air conditioned so it wasn’t hot and muggy like some other hotel pools are. They offered free breakfast and even something called “Kickback” in the evenings where they served hot snacks and a few free alcoholic beverages for the adults. The one thing I was happiest with was the beds. They were much more comfortable than other cheap hotels and hotels I’ve been to that were around the same price range. 9.5/10 I will definitely look for more Drury hotels in the future.

Breakfast was okay but we didn't have much time to enjoy it as we had to leave with the 7am shuttle. It was a bit crowded for our comfort, but it was easy enough to take a plate up to the room. We really enjoyed the convenience of the "light supper" and cocktail bar. We had dropped off our rental car, so it was nice to just catch the shuttle at the airport and stay in the hotel for the rest of the evening.

Our room was directly above the check in so the noise of the doors opening, cars driving up, etc. all came through our window. Thankfully we travel with a sound machine and the added white noise of the AC helped mask most of it. Next visit we will request the highest floor and away from the elevator.

The breakfast was good and the bed was massive for two people which was nice then they had dinner which was good but could have been a bit better the atmosphere was nice the pool was warm and clean just everything was amazing and with me being a airplane lover it was right next to the airport I got to talk to a pilot in the elevator and everything best hotel ever 100/10 would recommend

Probably just the food honestly we had meatballs for dinner one night and it was okay breakfast is always good but dinner was meh the fountain drinks where top teir tho never seen that in a hotel before

Only bad review would be the housekeeping tried to get in at 8:00am with checkout being 11. At least wait til 9-10 after breakfast

The staff was great. They did everything they could to accommodate our needs. The rooms were clean. Everyone greeted us with a smile. It made us feel like we were truly welcome. It's great having the option to eat their complimentary dinner at the hotel after traveling all day. We didn't have to get back in the car to find something to eat, we could just relax at the hotel. The surprising part was that the food was good.

The only thing I would have changed was the height of the beds. Everything else was great.

The location and the shuttle service to the airport. Paul was very nice. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable. They offered breakfast and snacks and drinks at 6:00pm. Very nice the entire experience.

We went to Kansas City for a concert at Azura Amphitheater. The concert ended at 11:00 pm. Unfortunately the area had very poor signal (internet or mobile data) and we were trying to order a Uber with no luck. We were in the middle of nowhere without signal with our kids. I called the hotel because I was sure that they would help us in any way, ordering a taxi for us or something. But the person that picked the phone was rude and insensitive. Zero empathy. Actually that person disconnected the call 2 times. I called back and I asked for Paul because he had been so nice with us earlier, but the guy at the phone that night was just careless.

we travel frequently and have stayed in many hotels. this hotel by far exceeded our expectations. cleanest one we’ve stayed in. our kids always want to swim, and this was the first hot tub/pool area where the tile wasn’t falling apart and the water didn’t feel dirty. the hotel room was clean and the bathroom was clean. we loved the happy hour and free food during the evening for our kids, and so did they. staff was friendly. location was perfect for us.

The whole experience was great. I was traveling with a friend who needed an easily accessible room, which I had requested at the reservation phase. We were on the first floor very close to the exit where we were parked. VERY much appreciated!! We also requested more towels and someone was at our door within 10 minutes! The facility was really nice and clean and the pool/hot tub area was really nice. Everyone treated us very well and they were kind and helpful. Overall, a great experience!

Our stay was excellent! The location of this property was perfect for where we needed to stay. The staff was all very friendly and seemed to genuinely care about our comfort and experience. They had a great breakfast and evening food and drink choices and the dining area was always very clean. Our area of the hotel was very quiet, too, which was nice. Our room felt very comfortable and clean and I loved that the mirror and sink were located outside of the bathroom. Overall, it was awesome!

The lighting in the bathroom was pretty dim but that wasn’t a huge issue. Also, the shower head pressure was not very strong so if you have thick hair like me, it’s quite hard to wash well.

The staff was exceptional! We have never stayed somewhere, that the staff was so helpful and accommodating. Rachel was so very helpful, from info before our trip, to checking in on us at breakfast and dinner. Frank was amazing as well. He graciously took the time to get us to a destination safely and was so very nice in helping us maneuver our way through unfamiliar territory. We will be staying at Drury Inn and suites again, and I will most definitely be telling everyone I know about this amazing hotel!

There isn't really anything we didn't like here. The only suggestion I could possibly come up with would be, to have a microwave in the dining area to heat up our food.
