Bullwinkles Rustic Lodge

Bullwinkle Lodge is a charming rustic motel with a great out of the way location. The pond with two covered gazebos is a very nice feature. We were looking forward to trying their restaurant, but it is temporarily closed. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I think it offers a great deal of value for the room price. we would definitely stay here again when our travels take us to Poplar Bluff, MO.

It would be nice if they offered a courtesy continental breakfast, which they may do when their restaurant is open.

The staff is friendly and the lodge is quaint with nice rustic decor. The pond in front is fun to walk around, or sit under a gazebo and enjoy the outdoors. The free Wi-Fi and continental breakfast top it off.

The desk clerk that checked us in was very friendly and helpful, as we had trouble with directions from Google, she stayed on the phone and gave me directions until we made it there...Top notch

Nothing, everything was amazing.

Everything about this place was an exceptional value. Best staff in the world, great food, beautiful surroundings, I can't even begin to comment on the collection of antiques or decorations. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to truly let your hair down and have a blast. Best place I have ever stayed and I have traveled a lot. I was a travel nurse for over 2 decades and this took me from coast to coast. This place stood leaps and bounds above anything Florida, North Carolina, Arkansas, California, Nevada, Arizona, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, or New Mexico had to offer: just to name a few. Their lounge started the experience for me and wow what a place ask the bartender to run the train for you. If you don't love this place, then you have serious psychological issues, and should seek help now!!! The bedding was comfortable, I slept like a baby, they gave my wife and I 2 free drinks at the bar just for staying there. The next time I go back and I will go back I would like to invite all of their staff to have a round of drinks on me.

The hot tub was the reason I rented the room. It was very nice.

At $160 per night the room is a bit on the expensive side. The expense is justified due to this room being one of less than ten rooms in Poplar Bluff with hot tubs.

I was there during a heat wave and the room was very cool and comfortable. Very spacious. Host offered me a free bottle of water to help me cool down after I arrived. I put the water in the fridge that was in the room until it was cool. It was nice that the location was on the main highway as I was travelling through.

It's a bit of a drive into the city to get some food.

mattress needs to be flipped. need a better breakfast. pet fee is like renting another room. it made me not care if they messed up the room because I paid a lot for the staff to clean up after them. however they didn’t, they are both potty trained. also, turn the outside fans on during the day when it’s so hot.

Absolutely everything!! We were driving back to Arkansas and looking for a place for just one night. We stumbled onto this gem! It was beautiful! Very rustic and homey. The room was very large and roomy. Sparkling clean! The woman that checked us in was so, so sweet and helpful. The price was unbelievable! The Pub next door was great! Menu is limited but very good! Staff was super friendly.

The little restaurant wasn’t opened back up yet, but they said it should be by the spring. I did not like that the curtains did not close all the way. I had to use clips to make sure there were no cracks
