New Victorian Inn & Suites Kearney

This is my 2nd time staying here and I would definitely come back again. New Victorian is less "plush" than a Country Inn and Suites but if you're looking for a good clean room and an acceptable breakfast while saving money this is a good option. On top of that, it feels much less "McDonalds-like" than national chain hotels. The man handling front desk duty and multiple phones when I arrived around 9:30pm was friendly, helpful and a real person. I appreciate it all and will come back--with the savings I bought a solid dinner and still saved money compared to many of the competitors.

The parking lot was VERY full, but it was a busy Friday and I got a space so that's the most important thing.

Quiet, comfortable, dog friendly. Charming desk staff who knew her town. Kearney is a good town in which to get stuff done. I needed an oil change and a haircut and was able to do both things easily. Don't miss the Archway museum. It's two miles from the motel, and it does a great job presenting the western migration. Not my first museum, but I learned a few new things. Also, dont miss the Crane conservancy. Who knew! This is a very, very important site for migration. I want to come back in March to see ten thousand cranes stop on their way to far northern summer breeding grounds. Amazing!!

Very clean and comfortable room ,especially the spa. We got in very late ,and it was nice to find someone at the desk and he was very nice and helpful The ladys at the desk Monday morning were very helpful and friendly as well. We didn't have the breakfast, but it looked and smelled very good .The coffee was awesome also Our room was so easy to get to ,and was able to park right at the back door to our room.

I can't think of much to say that we didn't like ,just maybe the cost ,but having the spa in our room was worth it to us

The hotel had a musty odor about it when first checking in. It was, however, very clean and pretty well updated except for the bathroom (tub/toilet area). We thought it was a good value for the money and would stay there again. I made reservations through Booking.com and a couple came in right after we had checked in, and the rate they gave them wax $10 less than we had just paid. Guess it pays to walk in with no reservation.

Loved the facility! Room and common areas were clean, modern, well cared for. Lovely breakfast room with lots of tables & chairs. Breakfast had good selection of waffles, rolls, breads for toast, fruit….everything but eggs. If they had eggs, this hotel would have been absolutely perfect! As it was, the breakfast was well stocked and nice selection…Very fine. Everything else in the room, bathroom, breakfast room & staff was absolutely charming & wonderful! THANK YOU FOR BEING PET FRIENDLY! My dogs were happy, and we caused no trouble for anyone else…It works!! Great location for easy run to the Platte River to see the cranes. Incredible!!!

Breakfast bar would have been perfect if they had eggs. Still, a good spread, and what was available was totally adequate. Thank you for being pet friendly!

I stayed in December when my husband had knee replacement surgery and was extremely impressed with how friendly the staff was, and how they went above and beyond to help me when I didn't know if my husband was getting out of the hospital on they day I was supposed to check out. Emily worked with me and made a very stressful week better. So I decided since he was having surgery again that I wanted to stay at the same place. During this stay once again I am impressed. Emily has been awesome, the rooms are clean, comfortable and breakfast is great. She also went above and beyond helping me when my husband's hospital stay was extended.

I have no dislikes.

The Victorian Inn and Suites was a very good value. It's older, but well maintained. It was quiet and clean, and the bed was comfortable. We will stay here again if passing through the area.

The only thing that wasn't quite as good was the breakfast, but it was continental as advertised. It would be nice to have added in hard boiled eggs just for some protein. But I understand the price was very good, so I'm not complaining, just pointing it out.

I have stayed there before, it’s very near interstate 80 and some restaurants I like, and it was very reasonable. Nothing super super fancy had a nice room and a pretty good breakfast although no eggs and bacon.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. I forgot they have a second floor and no elevator but that was not a super hardship. My suitcase could’ve been a little lighter so I could’ve had an easier time hauling it upstairs but that was not their problem.

We got there very late but the night staff was so nice. We also had a young child that was going to sleep on the floor and he offered to go to the supply closet to get an extra duvet so I could make a pallet for him. Super accommodating

Bathrooms I felt like were under stocked with towels and shampoo/conditioner

I think it was a really nice place, the man that workes there in the morning is very pleasant. Both times with in the two weeks we came through.

We stayed on the,second floor the first night there and is very nice and clean. Two weeks later we stayed on the first floor at our request which was nice but it was not very clean. But we will stay there again if we ever come through Nebraska.
