Hoover Dam Lodge

The staff. They were all very friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. From a late arrival meal, six minutes before closing (ten bonus points fot that one!) to locating a baggage cart for the elevator ride up to the fifth floor. The front desk registration clerk was smiling, both at our late 9:00pm check in and our 6;00am check out times Kudos Guys!!

The wall lights and lamps. One table lamp and the bathroom light were the only ones working, other four were burnt out. The lights in the bathroom and the sink outside it were on the same switch. Leaving no way to leave a light on during the night and control brightness by opening the bathroom door.

The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. There was also a mini fridge and microwave in the room which was very convenient. I enjoyed the gift bag at check-in. The front desk employees were very nice. Also, breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel was good and very inexpensive, but service was lacking.

The hotel could use an update. It felt like I stepped back in time to 1983. No coffee in the room, but they did give us free coupons for coffee, which was very nice. The shower was hard to turn off therefore it kept dripping. We could hear the people next door to us very clearly, however when the AC was on it drowned them out, meaning the AC was very loud.

The check in staff were very efficient and friendly, we got a goody bag for our stay, which we really appreciated. The room was enormous with a great view and a comfy bed. The meal in the Big Horn cafe was delicious and our server was so friendly and helpful. There is a gas station just across the road to get drinks or snacks, but also a shop in the hotel itself that has lots of souvenirs as well. We had an excellent nights sleep and breakfast at the cafe was just as good as the previous nights meal, make sure you try the granola and yoghurt, but you’ll need to be hungry, it’s huge, with lots of fresh fruit! Checkout was great too, again with such friendly staff. We felt genuinely welcome at the hotel and would definitely stay there again. It is a perfect location for visiting the Hoover Dam, which is what we were there for.

Absolutely nothing.

It was cute and comfortable. There is a small pool that looks nice, but it was not warm enough to use. The restaurant was good. We had breakfast there. It was also reasonably priced. We saw bighorn sheep on the hill right behind the hotel. The best part is that it's close to the hoover dam.

There is a casino on the first floor of the hotel, which we did not care about one way or another. It was a little smokey but not terrible. Service is a little slow at the restaurant. I think they were short staffed. The only real complaint I had was that there is not much in the way of blankets on the bed, just a sheet and a very thin sheet-like blanket. It is cold in bed for me. This may be a personal preference thing though.

I had a great experience at this property. I was pleasantly surprised with the value of the food. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom shower had good water pressure. I would stay here again in this area if I visited Hoover dam again. I enjoy the trail head and if I come back, I want to go kayaking.

I think the property should upgrade the rooms they looked a little outdated. However, they were clean and comfortable and although it’s a casino, I understand smoking is allowed but it is a little bit overwhelming at times the smell of smoke.

The location was great to go to Lake Mead. The views are awesome. It was very clean, not too smoky, and quaint. I was surprised it had gaming, as I thought it was in Boulder City, and there is no gaming in the city. Evidently, it is on county land, so that was a pleasant surprise.

There is no water, except tap water, in the rooms. There are no vending machines on the floor. They gave us 2 free coffee tickets to get in the casino, as there is not a coffee maker in the room. We upgraded to a suite, and it was a nice large room, but nothing "suite" like, no separate area to sit, just a small desk/table with a chair, and a comfy chair with a small end table.

Mountain view. Large comfortable beds. Very large rooms. Location to Hoover Dam. Clean. Quirky hotel with lots of little eateries, bars, seating areas etc plus casino in the middle. Shops selling some nice gifts plus gorgeous muffins etc. We liked the two old dears in the restaurant. We got there 5 mins before closing at 8pm and it was no bother allowing us to eat (The Big Horn). There were other foods available which were open later. Complimentary bathroom toiletries included a mouthwash and grooming kit. Nice additions. Front desk staff excellent as well as The Big Horn. In my opinion, the hotel cleaners went above and beyond in this hotel. You could actually smell disinfectant/bleach as you passed rooms they were working on.

No bathmat so just used the extra towel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. I loved the big room with 2 king-size beds and a sofa. It was great!

I didn't like the ice machines not working. Having to get small bags of ice from the front counter was ridiculous. Also, there was a thunderstorm while we were there, and the windows were not good windows. The howling wind came right through them and was super loud. Also, there were a lot of ants and flying bugs everywhere, especially the bathroom.

My goodness the staff here are so very lovely! We arrived late in the evening to the warmest welcome. I honestly don't think they could have done more for us. This included the staff in the shop as well as at the front desk and this +ve experience was repeated both at check-in and when we handed the keys back the next day. The location is *AMAZING for Hoover Dam and other river / Lake Mead related activities. We stayed as part of a very short 5 day / 2,000 mile road trip from San Francisco through Nevada and Arizona and back to SF via LA and the Pacific Coast Highway. To cover this ground and all the sights in between meant that location of the hotels was vital and this particular hotel does not disappoint. We rolled out of the hotel and into the car and within 4 minutes we were parked at the Hoover dam. We had lay in and still arrived before other tourists! Bonus (quiet!) casino downstairs meant that things were open and available late. I should say that we did not try any meals breakfast or otherwise here. We did purchase from the shop some really delicious freshly made items. The shop is really well stocked (tea bags!!). There was a fridge in the room.

Dripping shower which I reported the next day when we left. The Air con might have been a bit noisier than we were used to but we were so tired and so utterly delighted to have air con that it was not really that problematic. no coffee and tea making in rooms, but can be retrieved from shop with voucher and hot water endless also from shop.

Our Room Was Clean and Comfortable. The Food Was Better Than Many Las Vegas Casinos' With A High Price Tag For Everything . Our Food Was Made Just As We Asked For It To Be Done. I Played The Slot Machines And Had More Fun Than Being On The Strip Or Downtown. The Place Was A Peacefull Place To Be. It Was Of Value For Us Seniors. It Should Be A Great Stop For Anyone. Lots To Do In The Area As Well. A Lake Mead Boat Ride To The Hoover Dam And Very Good Food Aboard The Paddle Boat. A Lot To Do In Downtown Bouleder City.

Truthfully, I Can Say Nothing. Every Thing A Person Could Want Is There.
