Sleep Inn Londonderry

We arrived after midnight cause our travel plans didn’t quite go as expended, Laura at the front desk was so helpful and super sweet. I’m 4 months pregnant and when I made the reservation I asked for extra pillows because it’s the only way I can get comfortable these days, and they were very accommodating. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the breakfast was amazing. I would totally stay here again.

There was nothing I didn’t like, wonderful experience.

Staff was very pleasant; room, while basic, was very comfortable - bed and pillows were very nice. I did not have the opportunity to try the breakfast, though I did have the available coffee and tea, which was fine. Hotel was very quiet. Was very convenient to the highway and the Manchester airport.

My only complaints are: I don’t like it when the only in-room soap toiletry available is bar soap; while I know I should just bring my own shower gel, when faced with the TSA limit, sometimes you have to make choices, and it meant I had to go to a store and buy some. Also, the location is slightly awkward and not very close to much in the way of dining/cocktails - anything other than a Subway absolutely requires a vehicle or paying for a Lyft/Uber. While this wouldn’t be a problem for everyone, for someone staying alone who doesn’t want to drink/drive, it may be something to keep in mind.

Everything was very clean abd even smelled clean throughout. The beds were very comfortable and also the pillows (lots of those). Breakfast had a lot of choices and all the staff at breakfast and the main desk were very pleasant and helpful. There was a really nice lookiing pool and hot tub area. We did not use it but wished we could have. We had meeting a few miles north so it was convenient being near the highway.

The rooms were somewhat small for 2 people with only 1 chair. The exercise room had a TV that was not working due to recent renovations but hopefully they will have corrected that. The tread mill was an older variety but we got it to work. The hair dryer needed attention but worked fine after that. The shower stall was a nice big one but the floor was slippery so they have installed a grip bar for support. I recommend non-slip decals or equivalent for the shower floor.

I love staying at Sleep Inn. The rooms are very clean and the beds are so comfortable. The walls are not thin so you hear nothing on the outside of the room. The window opens all the way up instead 2 inches so you can actually feel the air come in. I love the sliding door on the bathroom it’s a cool feature. Decent breakfast. I would definitely recommend to anyone that asks for a good place to stay.

The only downfall was the construction going on prevented the hot breakfast that week and just had muffins and danishes but it was understandable. It’s really not a complaint or anything 😁

Excellent location near our destination and eateries. Helpful staff, comfy bed, and everything we needed on our travels from a hair dryer to a mini fridge.

The bathroom was tight and some of the linens could use improvement. Bath towels were rough/scratchy as well as something about the mattress pad/ flat sheet (too much synthetic material?), made us overheat while sleeping. We were grateful for the in room a.c. controls!

Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Good variety to choose from. The location of the hotel suited our needs. Close to restaurants and fuel and gave us a great home base location as we rode our motorcycles north and back down to Londonderry.

They did mention they were short staffed. So our room didn’t get made up as often. But for us it worked out in our favour. So it really wasn’t a complaint.

Beds were super comfy and the pillows were super nice! I thoroughly enjoyed my sleep and stay. Great value and location. Close to lots of things and right up the road from family who live locally! Definitely will be staying again in the future for vacations to derry. They had washer and dryers for their guests and I loved that. I always worry about the laundry on vacation and this made it easy for me to handle all the laundry my family had and I don't have to worry about it when I get home.

Someone stole my laundry soap and stopped the washer on me while I was in the middle of washing my clothing. So I came back from a day with my family to my stuff half washed and my laundry detergent gone. Vending machine was broken. They said breakfast was from 7-10am and I came down at nine and it was now 6-9am. She said "you know breakfast is until 9 and im about to put all this away". The demeanor was rude but whatever I'm not the type to care but it was noticed for sure.

Located near a major highway--yet still no problem with traffic noise. Convenient as a starting point for day trips. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean...housekeeping staff were friendly and obviously very capable. We really enjoyed the rail trails--both in Londonderry and Derry.

Very comfy bed with lots of fluffy pillows, large room and the temperature was perfect. Breakfast was, as advertised, high quality with a variety of options (even pumpkin waffles in line with the season). Appreciated their quiet hour policy which everyone seemed to adhere to except for the guy in the room next to me who got to his room at 1:30am and was yelling at someone on his phone.

Would have given them an excellent rating if not for the Manager ignoring a situation. Our last night there we found a tick in one of the beds. The girl at the front desk was great. Offered to give us a new room. We had already been there a couple nights and with 3 kids and it being late I didn't want to move unless absolutely necessary. We checked both beds throughly and didn't find anymore so we decided to stay in the room since we were checking out in the morning anyway. The girl behind the desk said she would talk to her manager and she if they'd be willing to compensate anything. No compensation, no response, no nothing! The manager apparently decided to just ignore it. A shame, it was a good stay until then.
