Making these minor suggestions: when the staff is aware of scheduled weddings onsite, reservations outside the wedding guests should not be on first floor. The first floor should be used for wedding guests. When booking at Icona in the future I will request not to be assigned a room on the first floor. Icona reception staff should also be able to identify returning guests! We were at this resort in June and booked again for September. We have been going to Icona for the last 3 years!

We love the Icona. We plan each year for a week there and we are never disappointed. The facility and rooms are very clean. The staff are all very friendly. The location is right on the beach and not having to haul beach chairs or umbrellas is really helpful. I love not having to check the room before settling in for bed bugs and despite marijuana being legal in NJ (an issue at another hotel), there is never an issue with smoke smells or marijuana smells on the property. Parking is a breeze.

I never thought about the pool being small as being an issue until I read other reviews. The pool is smaller, but the location is on the beach and the ocean is huge. Occasionally it is full, but people are typically kind and give you space.

Beautiful and very clean property. Loved sitting on balcony overlooking the pool. Cool and windy weather during our stay, but walked along the beach anyway. The sand felt great and it was clean.

Walk-in ability at Brew Pub dining room for dinner was not possible (for our Mid March--middle of the week stay). We didn't need a reservation during our previous stay; this time we did. Not a fan of the dining area outside the club. Disappointing--because we enjoy the Pub. Went elsewhere for dinner. Regardless, would recommend this hotel for a stay at the shore!

location was great, very clean and the staff was exceptionally nice. on site restaurant was perfect.

The bed needed to be a little more comfortable. There was no bottled water offered in the rooms. The price per night for off season was too high.

Excellent location; convenient beachfront w/hot tub/pool and dining. Staff were enthusiastic from hotel to restaurant servers. Liked the sounds of entertainment on property but my family does not drink so we did not partake.

Noticed minor details w our room regarding carpet needed a deep clean. Spoke w management and issue was resolved immediately. Property could use minor overhaul regarding cleaning; may be due to shortage of staff and/or pandemic but sofa beds/sofas in the lobby look a bit worn. Overall had a nice stay.

Great location, great beds and pillows, clean, roomy, staff follow cdc regulations, great staff in general.

They didn't have a good evacuation plan or someone didn't follow the emergency plan, when we were there the resort had a emergency issue thank God no one got hurt but was not handle properly and that's because the location didn't act quickly getting the guests aware of the situation thru either internal phone or having some kind of loud speaker to advice a quick exit off the building; that was a scary experience. Also the garbage gets picked up to early in morning while people trying to sleep.

Everything was clean

The bathroom should have a vent that takes the steam out when showering. What is there barely does anything. This is the only complaint I have. I am coming back next week so I do really love the place. Everything else is great

my reservation for Four rooms advised me that Queen suite would sleep 4-6 My grandson had no where to sleep (3Kids -2Adults) Asked for cot was told not available?????? He stayed at friends home in area. Teen girls in other Queen sleep needed to sleep together (2 adults and 2teens) When I asked at desk told me they were unaware of reservation since it was made online. I had tried to go directly thru hotel in February no answer.

Very pretty, brand new renovations, excellent location, beautiful views, friendly helpful staff

Our room was right near all of the rooftop air conditioners so that was. Little annoying!

Check in was easy. Room was beautiful and very spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of great pillows. Bathroom was large and luxurious. Plenty of great towels. Nice balcony with view of the ocean.
