Bolero Resort

The location is central to wildwood boardwalk. Walking distance to major attractions and beaches. The pools, both outdoor and indoor. If there’s a rainy or cold day there’s always an indoor pool option. Hot tubs, steam room, showers, Amazing gym. DJ entertainment at the pool. Poolside bar with food and drinks. On site restaurant with live music and karaoke. A few years ago the rooms were updated so they have a nice modern look to them. Nice charging stations with multiple outlets and USB ports for your devices. Wall mounted soap dispensers in bathroom. Room climate control. WiFi access.

The toilet was slow to fill. The tv was small and this time wasn’t a smart tv (couldn’t cast or use apps) but last year the room we got had a smart tv, so we were able to use apps in HD rather than the snowy analog picture. So some rooms have smaller older flat screens and some have larger newer ones. Small and rough bathroom towels. But these things are just nit picky and honestly aren’t deal breakers. Sure if every room had a 42” smart tv with apps and HD picture quality that would be awesome, but honestly we’re there for the pool, food, beach and wildwood sights. Just a nice to have for winding down at night.

Rooms were good and kids really liked the indoor pool

Place was a tad bit loud wish they had inforcable quite hours starting at like 10pm or something . My room was near a large opening and people were hanging , drinking and yelling I'm that area well past midnight one night.

Loud guests running rampant throughout the night and the staff doesn't have security.

Door didn't lock. One towel had a stain on it. The restaurant downstairs, we made a reservation (week before our stay) the morning of. We go down for our time. & was told we had to be put on a waiting list.. At least a half an hour wait.. so we said No. & eat somewhere else. Yes we have cell phones but would like to have a clock in the room I tried to talk to the front desk guy to let him know about the little issues.. He was just more worried about checking out the key cards. There was no other guest at the desk, just me. Working in a hotel business, I understand how busy and crazy it is in the morning. But your guest always comes first.

Loved the indoor amenities and size of the beds and rooms.

The doors did not seal well and no inside lock. We had someone enter are room who was not with us. They were just as shocked as we were. The hotel believed it was staff but did not look like a staff member. They said that the staff had probably thought we checked out and were coming to clean. It was 3 hours before check out.

The breakfast was good. The gym was huge. I loved the indoor pool area. Pool area indoors was so pretty at night with the different colored lights on. I loved the Elvis impersonator. I didn’t know there was one and then when I heard I was really excited cause my husband is a huge Elvis fan.. he even got on stage with him…

The pool should have been opened a lot later since there was no life guard anyway. The gym should have had longer hits as well as the indoor pool. Pool and gym should have been opened much earlier until much later after closing. The elevator could have been more updated and they should have had more than one.

I never felt like such an under valued guest. I booked an ocean view room but I had an emergency so only my mother could check in so I couldn’t come down to the next day and when I found out I didn’t have an ocean view room I was extremely extremely upset the absolute only reason I came to this hotel was for the ocean view room I cannot believe that I did not get an ocean view room it was awful the fact you sucks the only reason I’m giving them a 10 it’s because of all the other years I stayed here in my ocean view room it was awful horrible terrible that I pay for an ocean view room and I didn’t get it and that makes me so upset I don’t know if I’m never coming back here again

We liked everything. The indoor pool was great, wish it was heated, but the man who ran that area was great. Beds were great. Very clean. Perfect location. No trouble at all for our stay. Also, the cleaning guy with the dog was so kind. All the cleaning staff was kind.

We wanted to plug in our laptop to the TV with an HDMI because the television options were kind of lame. I did call ahead of time to make sure that would be available, and was told it wouldnt be a problem. However, we were not able to change the input to the TV. No biggie everything else was fine.

The room was extremely comfortable and plenty of space since there was a bedroom and a living room with a hot tub in it. The view was awesome from the room. The staff went above and beyond to help find something we thought we had lost in the room which they checked the cameras and everything in the hallway to make sure it was not stolen. We did ultimately find what he were looking for. The king bed was very comfortable and slept great on it.

The only complaint is that while sleeping in our bed, we were woken up at 9 a.m. when the gym and pool opens up on the rooftop. The sound was people in the gym throwing 100 pound weights on the floor as hard as they could and I was worried they would come through the roof and into our room. It was SOOOOOO loud. I called down to let the staff know and they said they would take care of it. We were checking out anyway but thought they would want to know. And they had an employee up there already supervising so not sure why she was allowing this anyway. Hoping when we come back, it won't be that bad. Also did find a few hairs on the ledge of the hot tub and on one of the towels but everything seemed very clean besides that.

We loved the pools and hot tubs which were both very clean and well staffed. The afternoon DJ livened the atmosphere and the tiki bar is a great way to unwind especially after a few of there excellent cocktails. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well.

We only had one complaint which is the humidity in the rooms everything felt a little damp, if you could fix this problem I would give the Bolero a 10/10 rating for sure!
