The Grenville Hotel and Restaurant

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating towards us and our dog. The room was nice and clean and the shower was great due to the some of the best water pressure we have ever experienced while staying at a hotel, BnB, or rental property.

Later at night there is no one at the desk in case you need anything. Little did we know we needed to call the hotel to the person and then they would come out to assist, but there was no sign stating that. There should at least be a sign letting you know or maybe a direct phone line at the desk to ring the individual.

First time in Bay Head, and it’s a beautiful beach town. Very clean, quiet, and great for families. The Grenville is a gem along the NJ Shore, pretty, historic property and lovely grounds. Very close walk to beach and a few shops and restaurants.

We were a party of 4. Rooms are smaller, but if you are familiar with NJ beach area lodgings, that is normal. Out of many of the NJ beach areas I’ve stayed in the past, this was by far, the best and prettiest though. Wish there was a pool too, but you have the Ocean :)

Super cute! Like a bed and breakfast with beach motel vibes! (In a good way!) Perfect for a mini shire vacation . It’s just one short block away from the beach. They provide beach tags, chairs, towels, and umbrella. Continental breakfast included, so no need to move your car from free street parking until later in the evening. We walked to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk (1.5 mi) one evening and drove to the boardwalk at Seaside Heights the other. Wonderful staff! Everyone was so kind and helpful.

The hotel was clean, beautiful and comfortable. The staff was great, and very informative about the beach, restaurant times. The included continental breakfast was great, and the included use of beach passes, chairs and towels was great

The last Bonus question above stated that I requested a quiet room. I did not state that I wanted a quiet room. I asked for a haunted room or a haunted floor, since we were coming mainly for the haunts (my paperwork lists this request). I researched Haunted Hotels in NJ and this one was one of the ones that came up stating it had lots of paranormal activity and sightings. So I'm now wondering if my request was denied and we were given a quiet room, which was not what I asked for. Maybe my daughter suddenly being scared, even though this is what she wanted, spooked the spooks. This would be my only dislike about the hotel.

The hospitality of all the staff. We felt like family. They are a restaurant and hotel so we were able to enjoy their Father's Day Buffet. The location was a short walk to the beach and they provided beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach tags. Our room was a little small, but nice decor, clean and fit our needs and more importantly we had our own bathroom. They had a free cold continental breakfast each morning and provided tea, coffee and water throughout the day. We will definitely stay at Grenville again.

There was nothing we didn't like. They were awesome! We will try to get a bigger room next time though.

Always love the friendly and accommodating staff. Love that beach towels, chairs and umbrellas are available, as well as bikes even though we didn't use them. Beach badges were not yet necessary, but we know from last August they are supplied to guests daily. The cozy porch is great. We always meet other guests while using the rockers on the porch during sunset. We will be back!

Not being able to eat at the restaurant because we were there on a Monday, as well as a bit pre-season. But we were able to go down the street and order takes out and made a lovely dinner on the porch tables. The staff even supplied dishes, silverware and wine glasses. Oh, and cloth napkins!

FABULOUS! Maureen is amazing as is the rest of her staff! A tornado warning/terrible storm swept through and she went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and our kids felt safe and calm.The building is historical and such a cool spot plus a great location when visiting the shore. Everything was extremely clean and well taken care of.Food was great too! HIGHLY recommend! Maureen THANK YOU for making us feel at home, we will definitely be back!!

Location was good approximately a block and 1/2 from beach. Beach passes provided. Also free access to beach chairs, towels, umbrellas. Hotel clean. Beds were comfortable. Although we did not eat there, there is a restaurant there if you don’t want to travel out.nice porch area .

They don’t have there coffee and hot water out at all times. Payed for what was called a king suite which usually describes a larger room. Not the case just king and trundle pull out bed stuffed into small room. Worked for us but would not refer to it as a suite.

We were traveling on a motorcycle so we couldn't take all the things we needed for the beach. The hotel had beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and even bicycles to ride if you wanted to use them. I am not a big fan of the beach, but my wife is, so I took her thinking if she had a good time it would make me happy. The hotel restaurant was awesome, the location was perfect and the hotel was everything we needed. We both had a good time and I would certainly stay there again.

We could have stayed another day or two.

carpeting in hall and lobby needs a good cleaning or replacement deluxe room with trundle a little small for 4 people as an early riser 4am needed coffee unfortunately there was no coffee set up during the night like a small refrig with milk and a pod coffee pot and or a microwave having coffee on the front poarch at the hour would of been nice not a complaint just observations on all points
